16 shot composite of the Eclipse sequence taken with a 70-300mm @300mm with a Baader Solar filter attached, which gives a bluish tint, the last image is orange due to the Sun being so close to setting even the filter's hue couldn't overpower "Golden Hour" light.

La mejor foto que he conseguido sacar del eclipse con la Ixus 65, sin embargo, a pesar de lo que dice el EXIF, la foto está hecha a las 23:23 del dia 03 de marzo de 2007.
My youngest Moons and I got up just before sunrise this morning to check out New England's first solar eclipse since Christmas 2000. It was a little chilly, but we were prepared to handle it. What disappointed us, however, was that the clouds had the eastern sky absolutely covered for the entire 50-minute duration of the eclipse. They were good sports about it, since this seems to be the usual outcome for celestial events around here. It all turned out okay in the end, though, with a trip to Dunkin' Donuts for breakfast. Woohoo!
There was a Total Lunar Eclipse this morning! I live on the east coast, so I was only able to see the event at sunrise/moonset. A Total Lunar Eclipse occurs when the Earth passes infront of the Sun and blocks the sunlight from reaching the Moon. This process causes the Moon to be taken over by our shadow, initially becoming dark, but then turning a copper/red. This color change is essentially the result of all of the sunsets on Earth reflecting back from our lunar companion. The first was taken just after 5am, the second was taken around 6am, and the last two were taken between 6:20am-6:50am. (Eastern time)
As the Moon got lower, atmospheric disturbance, fog on my lens, and higher ISOs caused some additional noise, but I feel these four photos still turned out well. My camera settings varied, but I used my 300mm lens for all of them. Contrast, brightness and cropping were done in the GIMP.

Not a great picture, but I thought this was worth a quick snap. Not sold in the UK and clearly not a UK car here either.

So why did this sit for over a week after my initial review? I was happy with the POV, the "action" in the scene, and light.
I have better composed frames -- person entering doorway, a car driving towards lower right - but had some camera shake/focus issues on those shots and the flags weren't waving so nice. I also think I needed to get the camera up just a little higher so less of the lower Eclipse Center logo is cut-off.
In the end, I chose this shot because the sharp focus and nice flags.
