One of those really easy shots that I've passed up more than a few times. One of the many regional trains departs the impressive Praha Hlavi Nadrazi.
“Don’t wait for things to get easier, simpler, better. Life will always be complicated. Learn to be happy right now. Otherwise, you’ll run out of time.”- unknown.
To know the history of how the Blackfoot people were treated at the time the whiskey traders came into their lives and the Northwest Mounted Police were established to try to keep the peace between all people, is to appreciate that life has always been turbulent for many generations. In this place now, you reflect on things that you can loose over time , so you are grateful for the good things you have today.
This image shows one of three main sections in the park with the Milk River winding through the coulee and Hoodoos lining parts of the river banks.
A la poesía hay que preñarla
de aromas clandestinos
para que termine pariendo
palabras como soles
en un universo distorsionado
venerando a la luna
en el regazo del amor de una tormenta
de sal y de rosas...
Easy to take hundreds of photos down this way which I did but will post just a few to stop people falling asleep.
Nope. I couldn't live in a city. Do cities attract weird people or make them appear weird to 'normal' people visiting from the countryside? Or is it me that is weird? Either way I prefer somewhere quieter and less complicated. I like natural beauty and tranquillity.
Life in the city may seem one mad rush but actually this man is stood utterly and totally, frozen still. He's one of those people who stands statue still until you give him some money. I have to say he was marvellously convincing. It can't be easy to hold this position totally still for hours on end.
Cold days, sleet and blowing snow will soon be a nothing but a memory. Snow shovels, boots and warm gloves are a part of a Winters day here in Northeast USA. It’s easy to look back to last summer when sandals, shorts and a cold drink was pretty much how difficult a day was, lol. At times it seems that last Summer is nothing more then just a old memory because it’s been so cold and windy these days. Insult to injury is that the nights during this time of the year are by far to long. Warm summer days, gentle breezes and cool nights are a soothing memory. Looking forward to relaxing in my Adirondack chair watching the birds in the birdbath and enjoying seeing them chase the squirrels from the feeders. Daydreaming always makes it “Easy To Remember.” Thanks for viewing my work.
I initially used some easy peelers as stand in's for the Viennese whirls picture.
A few weeks later after looking at those images I sort of liked them and thought if I peeled some it may make a decent image.
In the meantime we had our Kitchen replaced "long overdue"
There were some huge off cuts of worktop which form the background here.
The tabletop was given to me by a customer as they had ordered a new computer desk. Which warped so it was replaced and they had no use for it.
Lucky me.
Our shed is getting full of my rubbish.
It would be rude not to accept such gifts though :-)

I shot for a friends relative today and it was lovely. Tomorrow i'm going to tidy my room, sort through photos and find something else productive to do. (OH GOSH. FLICKR MAILS. THAT. and facebook inboxes. oh my word i have no idea how easy i fall behind these days)
Korinne and Silvia wrote me testimonials. Thank you thank you thank you.
I read through the majority of the comments on all of my uploads this morning, and my testimonials and i can't begin to tell you all how much they mean to me. <3
For years I have always know this is 'Rock' far easier to remember that its proper name - Cerastium tomentosum (snow-in-summer)
We went to the market square again. I was shooting pigeons and figured that trying to copy a previous photo is not easy- it will be a failure anyway. But this one turned out to be a great one for the series:
so YES! go and find that cat! I'm warning- not an easy one!
HINT: the real cat couldn't go with us but it's always near her heart.
So if you already found it and still have some time go and check this article my dear friend Christine Kapuschinsky Johnson wrote about my work and leave an up-vote or a FB "like"- that would mean a lot to me!

It was an eventful day. My primary computer crashed and I had to reinstall the operating system. Luckily I foresaw the event and I transferred most of my data to a portable hard drive yesterday. This morning came the blue screen of death. I spent the better part of the day cobbling things back together, and am tentatively testing the waters.
I run an older OS, and as a result, Internet Exploder would now have to be updated to view flickr. I decided no. I chose to go with Opera instead. I lost my old version of GIMP, of course, and I had to download the newer version. So today's shot is really just an image to test the post processing waters. I still must calibrate my monitor and tweak a few other things.
Change is never fun, and is rarely easy, but I'm running much faster now and I will adjust.

"Our House"
I'll light the fire
You put the flowers in the vase that you bought today
Staring at the fire for hours and hours while I listen to you
Play your love songs all night long for me, only for me
Come to me now and rest your head for just five minutes, everything is good
Such a cozy room, the windows are illuminated by the
Sunshine through them, fiery gems for you, only for you
Our house is a very, very, very fine house with two cats in the yard
Life used to be so hard
Now everything is easy 'cause of you
And our la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
Our house is a very, very, very fine house with two cats in the yard
Life used to be so hard
Now everything is easy 'cause of you
And our
I'll light the fire while you place the flowers in the vase that you bought today

A friend of mine who is a knowledgeable rose grower brought me some roses to practice my lighting on, and this Livin' Easy variety is one of them.
I used simple even lighting on the flower by placing a Yongnuo flash in a 24 inch soft box on either side of the flower pointed at the center. The strobes and my tripod mounted camera were triggered with a Yongnuo RF603N.
Other pictures of roses that I've taken can be seen in my creatively titled Roses album.

I've photographed a lot of plants and flowers, because they're all around us, work cheap, and never complain. I have an album of these images with over 1200 pictures, and for each one, I have described how I lit them, in case you're interested in that kind of thing.
The heavily overcast skies above North Miami didn’t make seem like it was 07:46 on the morning of June 18, 2021, yet the trains along the Florida East Coast mainline seemed to indicate it was. With Brightline service still suspended at the time, freight ruled the rails (as it should).
FEC 335-18, the weekday southbound limerock shuttle between CEMEX’s City Point Plant and the Medley Rinker Mine, shoots south through the MP 357.4 intermediate signals with 154 empty rock hoppers headed for Medley Yard. At the time, FEC SD40-2s were guaranteed power for the Cocoa limerock trains; that’s not to say they aren’t used on the trains these days, as they usually are… #FEC716, one of the railroads three active former Union Pacific “Snoot” SD40-2’s, leads another sister EMD and the empties south on the West Main down the light grade through town.

Does anyone remember these old blue mig welders? I got this one on black Friday about 15 years ago from Harbor Freight for $89. last year I sold it for $60 and got the New Titanium Easy-Flux 125 amp welder for $179. I really like the new welder a lot better than my old one. I welded in new floor pans and welded a new inner fender in my old truck.
14th May 2020:
Rather windy and cold this morning which didn't encourage me to go out. So I took my backup photo of the bird seed on the garden table.
Although it wasn't quite so bad this afternoon, I really didn't feel like going out. So it's the bird seed for today.
