Spring is still in its very early stage up here in Finland. However, there have been some warm days already and the ice has begun to melt here and there. The photo was taken from the inside of an ice cave at noon last Friday, Feb 24th in Emäsalo, Porvoo, Finland.

This rich color of the purple flower inbetween the buds and the branch struck me as I was walking through the botanical gardens in Golden Gate Park this weekend. Great shot for Macro Monday AND Flickr Friday! :) HMM, everyone!
Proud mom with her newborn lamb / Trotse moeder met haar pasgeboren lammetje!
Many thanks to all who takes the time to view, comment and fave my pictures!
Oh it was a cold one. Don't let that sun fool you. Frosty but with beautiful green grass. First we did the crags then all the way up to that highest point (Arthur's Seat).
Yes It was but with snow! The first flowers will have to sleep under the snow cover for several days more.
For 7DWF -Macro or close-up
Thank you very much for your visits, comments and faves!

A singing Blue Tit skipping through new buds for the Flickr Friday theme "Early Spring Signs".
Thanks for looking and please check out my group!...
this is april, she wanted to go to the pool today but not to swim quite yet, as she didn't want her new spring hat to get wet ~grin~
thank you, SIL dearest, for my newest ducky :):)
Yesterday snow came by surprise but today the sun was already melting it down and at the same time bringing out these yellow beautiful flowers called Chelidonium.

It was late February and storm Doris had just ripped through the west of Ireland leaving debris, destruction, and a beautiful cloudy sky in its wake. The guys on the workshop and I began our trek around Achill early in the day and it was afternoon before we arrived at this location.
It is an Atlantic wonderland that was both beautiful and dangerous. Jagged stones were scattered everywhere, massive cliffs with vertical 3 to 4 storey high layers of rock, jutting up into the sky.
Someday, another storm will take all of this away.
As we photographed our way around this awesome landscape, I settled down into a small crevasse overlooking the Atlantic and focused on the sun hitting the rock face in front of me.
This is one of the locations we visit on my Achill Workshop. I've got more info about them on my website. Message me if you're interested in attending.

I hadn't done a star trail shot in a while so I thought I'd give it a go with the 5D Mark IV's built in intervalometer. Worked out great! The flowers were definitely something I hadn't tried at night and been successful at, so this was fun to try again.
Well these kind of look like sprouts or possibly even springs...
We're heading into Autumn so it's been challenging finding signs of spring :>) this is my alternative interpretation of the theme for this Friday challenge.
Newborn Aberdeen Angus
During our walks in nature reserves we are often welcomed by cows, sheeps and wild horses. And sometimes we have to run for our lives, lol! This time it was very special, we saw newborn calves from the Aberdeen Angus breed.
Many thanks to all who takes the time to view, comment and fave my pictures!
For Crazy Tuesday#Flowers ( as a sign that the spring is coming)
