Excited is exactly how i felt these morning. A wonferful place with great possibilities, just before the sun sets and a wonderful and colourful sunshine. A morning for remember. These are the moments with the nature for why i love photography.
"Awesome!"
I am very excited for the Lego Movie coming out this Friday (or Thursday). I've decided to release photos of certain characters from the Lego Movie throughout the week leading up to the premiere! I thought it appropriate to start with Emmet the lead in the movie. I have yet to get the normal Emmet minifigure so I decided to use the hard hat variant I got from the Lego Movie minifigure series. I'm most excited for all the Lego Fan easter eggs that are going to be in the movie!
"That will be 37 dollars."
I'm very excited to finally be able to announce this book! I think this was kind of a nervous energy project while Carly was pregnant with Asher, lol. Including reviewing slides, this book was mainly written between 9 PM and 11 PM on weeknights during the Fall of 2022. Originally, Morning Sun Books agreed to publish it as "Trackside Around New York's Capital Region." When Morning Sun got out of the active publishing business, Rudy Garbely of the Garbely Publishing Company rescued the project. It will now be a two-volume, softcover book titled, "Capital Region Rails" (1960s to 1990s), with Volume 1 coming out this Spring!
Unlike my first book (with Morning Sun), this one won't really have any of my own photos. However, that wasn't the purpose of this book. What inspired me to do this book was seeing many of Jim "Iron Man" Connor's railroad photos he took around the Capital Region from the late 1960s and 1970s. I wanted to make sure that these images were preserved beyond seeing them at Jim's annual slide show. The project then expanded to include work by Jeff Plant, Jeremy Plant, Jack Wright, John Sesonske, Gardiner Cross, and Dean Splittgerber.
One of my favorite things about the geographic specificity of this book was that it allowed me to devote more attention to branch lines that have sometimes been overlooked in books that cover a wider geographical area. For Volume 1, that includes lines such as the D&H Waterford / Green Island Branch, the D&H Adirondack Branch, the B&M Troy Branch, the Penn Central / Conrail Troy Industrial Track, Fort Orange Paper Company in Castleton-On-Hudson, and even a small amount of the New York Central / Penn Central Upper Harlem Division.
Link for pre-ordering is below. Any questions about that process should be directed to the Garbely Publishing Company.
Otherwise, I'm happy to answer any questions about the content of the book! (As I have time!)

Excited at the thought I can at last have the time to go through my Crovie 2016 album. The stunning village of Crovie perched under the cliffs and looking out over the Moray Firth is one my families favourite places. One of the best preserved fishing villages in Europe and on a coastline of endless beauty.
But Crovie had sad beginnings - In the late 18th century well into the 19th century, Highland estates moved from arable and mixed farming, which supported a large tenant population, to the more profitable sheep-farming. Surplus tenants were ‘cleared’ off the estates from about 1780; and the Clearances were ongoing nearly 70 years later at the time of the potato famine in 1846. Families were forced to leave the land and set up shelter in the land between the profitable farms and the beach. With such little land the people were reliant on persistance farming and suplimented thier meega diet with fishing but as time went on the canny people began to profit from their catch taking their fish into near-by Gardenstown to sell.
Unfortunately all but two families have left Crovie but you can still see them mackerel fishing and lobster potting in the bay. A great base to explore the surrounding villages and towns and the amazing wildlife this area has to offer........Crovie at dusk.
I went for the safe route for this one. I chose to do a bearded lady, but still keep the glamour and fashion to it. I wanted to do 3 breasts, but it didn't look right IMO, so I gave her some facial hair! Also, I'm v excited that it's the top 4. #RIPKim
She loves fall.. She loves getting all bundled up decked out with her puffyy coat she's ready to take on the world!
Peter saw this beautiful golden galleon in the museum, and you could just see his mind deconstructing it, and wondering if he could make something similar!
Really excited to share my newest LEGO creation: Spyro the Dragon from the Spyro-Series.
Spyro is probably the most iconic character I tackled so far. As you probably know, if you have been following me for a while, I pushed myself to build more and more organic creations. So it was fitting for me to build someone like Spyro next! His cartoony and charming looks were quite challenging to reproduce in bricks.
Spyro has had slightly different colours throughout the years. So I settled for a dark purple, because of the availability and since it is the closest color to his look in "Spyro Reignited Trilogy".
He also has some limited movement: The head can turn, the legs can rotate, the wings can move and the eyebrows can be lowered and raised independently.
I also wanted to include as many references to the game series as possible. The pedestal is inspired by the Artisans world, the first location in the first game. And since Spyro is essentially a "collectathon", I had to include a platform with some red gems.
And I also build his companion Sparx, to show that he is at full health ;)
Excited teens waiting outside of Good Morning America television studio, hoping to get a glance at the popular K-pop boys band," NCT 127 " who would be performing that day.
