I cruised up 2 Gila monsters back to back last august for my birthday! I can’t even explain how excited I was. Such a beautiful reptile!
I generally don't get too excited about the computer I use but this is the exception. For Christmas, my computer techno-savvy son built me a new computer from the ground up and that's it, on the left. The case sides are glass panels, one I've opened to cut down on the reflection and better show the components. I posted a shot of the video card and here it is in operation. The end game is this runs/processes much faster than my current laptop, has sufficient storage and really does look cool, IMO!! BTW: That's his cat Mouse in my Photostream.
This is a good stopping point for most but some may care to read further for the technical details:
The main issue with my current laptop is that it only has 256KB of solid state (SSD) storage for the programs which is maxed out and 1TB of hard drive storage that holds a half a year of photos, the rest of the 8 TB library, resides on an external hard drive. In addition, Photoshop uses the external drive for scratch work and that slows things down especially the rendering of focus stacked images. This machine has 3 X 1TB SSD drives and a built in 18TB SATA hard drive that I can keep the complete library on. Photoshop runs exclusively on the solid state drives and is processed through the 8GB GeForce RTX 2070 Super Graphics Card. The main processor is a AMD Ryzen 7 3800x 8-core Processor @ 3.90 Ghz cooled with a NZXT liquid intercooler. Supporting the processor is G.Skill Trident Z RGB Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 SRAM. The main power comes from a Corsair SF 600 Power Supply. All in all I'm very happy with the specs and in the end, my son was right, I did need a new computer!

I'm super excited that Laowa have provided me with a pre-release version of their upcoming 100mm F/2.8 2X macro lens in Pentax K-Mount, for me to test out!
This is one of the larger of the local species of hoverflies, but exact species ID eludes me - perhaps Eristalis sp.?
Pentax K-3 with Laowa 100m F/2.8 Macro 2X and off-camera diffused Godox AD180 flash. Shot probably around 0.75:1, slight crop to 4:3 aspect ratio.

I am extremely proud and excited to present my latest model for you guys today. I'm just so happy with how the 246 GT turned out! It's shorter in overall height than a minifig, but still seats a driver.
One of my personal favorite details about the original car is the "wraparound" rear windscreen, which curves seamlessly into the C pillars, which I did my best to emulate on this model. I also had a last minute idea on how to suggest the yellow Dino logo on the wheels by using these old yellow wheel holders + the Cars wheel hubs that have a hole straight through the center! A yellow bar gives a similar effect to the steering wheel.
Hope y'all enjoy! This one will probably make its way over to my Rebrickable shortly. I haven't been updating RB as much since my techniques have gotten pretty wacky and I feel less confident in suggesting people emulate them, but this is actually a really stable and playable model.

DMV Cargo Rail's new Vetron locomotives are named Fighter 1 and Fighter 2. But they had not much of a fight when running light engine with two empty buffer cars. BG-DMVRC 81 972 and 80 961 are pictured in the evening of June, 10 2018 at КОСТЕНЕЦ (Kostenec). The local storks seem less excited about that train than the photographer was.

Juni 2018 hatten BG-DMVRC 81 972 sowie 80 961 allerdings wenig zu kämpfen, als sie zusammen mit zwei leeren Flachwagen durch den Bahnhof КОСТЕНЕЦ (Kostenetz) rollten. Lying flat on the ground I watched a bunch of monarchs. Some sitting on the ground, others making caprioles in the air, diving, touching the sitting ones, fly up again, all very full of energy.
Read afterwards in my butterfly book that they were not just having fun but the males were trying to impress the females (on the ground), showing off their prowess because even on a fine sunshine day one has to think about the next generation.

I am wearing Disarm by Spellbound! I'm super excited about this hair because it is unrigged so I can get it to fit pretty much any head. It is a split tone so you can make the left side one color and the right another which I am not doing in the photo but I could have!
