The 1235 Belfast Central to Dublin Connolly ‘Enterprise’ heads south through Balbriggan with Class 201 no.228 pushing on the 5th September 2014.

Still no ferries on Wednesday so I got the train to New Brighton and enjoyed a there and back stroll to Seacombe to get a view of the Royal Navy survey ship H88 HMS Enterprise. Even managed to time my walk for a fleeting sunny interval to light up the ship and Liverpool's more modern waterfront architecture.

6-car 22038 arrives at Lisburn working the 16:05hrs Enterprise service from Belfast (Lanyon Place) to Dublin Connolly. Lisburn was added as a stop for the service on this date due to the Balmoral Show.
The C3K in the background is operating the 16:15 stopper service from Lisburn to Lanyon Place.

Shuttle Enterprise on board the SCA (Shuttle Carrier Aircraft). During the New York City Flyover 4/27/1012. Landing at JFK the shuttle will be placed on a barge and brought up to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in June.

OV-001 - Rockwell International Space Shuttle ENTERPRISE - NASA

Space Shuttle Enterprise (Orbiter Vehicle Designation: OV-101) was the first orbiter of the Space Shuttle system. Rolled out on September 17, 1976, it was built for NASA as part of the Space Shuttle program to perform atmospheric test flights after being launched from a modified Boeing 747. It was constructed without engines or a functional heat shield, and was therefore not capable of spaceflight.
Originally, Enterprise had been intended to be refitted for orbital flight to become the second space-rated orbiter in service.However, during the construction of Space Shuttle Columbia, details of the final design changed, making it simpler and less costly to build Challenger around a body frame that had been built as a test article. Similarly, Enterprise was considered for refit to replace Challenger after the latter was destroyed, but Endeavour was built from structural spares instead.
Enterprise was restored and placed on display in 2003 at the Smithsonian's new Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Virginia. Following the retirement of the Space Shuttle fleet, Discovery replaced Enterprise at the Udvar-Hazy Center, and Enterprise was transferred to the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City, where it has been on display since July 2012.

Enterprise, Alabama:
Erected on December 11, 1919, this monument to the boll weevil stands at the intersection of College and Main streets in downtown Enterprise. It commemorates the little insect responsible for crippling Alabama cotton production in the 1910s. The cotton decimation forced farmers to diversify their agricultural crops by moving away from monoculture. Had it not been for the boll weevil, the annual Southern peanut crop may not have been as prominent.
