NRG Enterprise performing at Hard Rock Cafe Penang

A little model I built as a present for my dad, accompanying the TNG blu-ray disc set.

Friday 14 March 2025: 228 after arriving with the 1050hrs Enrerprise service from Dublin, while 216 prepares to depart with the 1300hrs back to Dublin.

Locomotive 088 crossing Newfoundwell Viaduct with 15.00 Connolly / Belfast Enterprise Thursday 16th March 1995.

Quite a bit of reshaping since my last update, but most of it is subtle. The neck is narrower, the pylons are set further back and are longer, the engine nacelles are parallel to the rest of the ship, and they are larger and better balanced. The more I tinker with it, the closer it gets to the reference! At this point, there are no holes in the hull for the first time.

HMS Enterprise, a multi-role survey vessel, was built by Appledore Shipbuilders in 2002 and commissioned in 2003. Her homeport is HMNB Devonport, Plymouth, Devon.

The Enterprise then underwent a minor refit before embarking on two successive 5-year missions under Captain Christopher Pike. A further refit followed, and in 2265 command was awarded to Captain James T. Kirk. This is how the ship appeared at that time.

Barely caught him/her....scurrying along the wall, nut in mouth.

It's approaching 9.20 on a glorious summer evening as EWS 66035 leaves the town of Mirfield behind it with a Doncaster to Warrington Enterprise working. The "Dead" 47' behind the loco is 47759. Luckily for the photographer the train was held to allow the passing of a passenger working which allowed me the chance to get this image in extremely low light.

The 1843 Maryport and Carlisle water tower and the station house behind it survive long after Curthwaite station closed in 1950. Also preserved from the station platform is an ornately decorated cast iron artifact, now displayed in the station hall of the National Railway museum at York. It's a Maryport and Carlisle Railway single stall urinal.

I have finally decided to post these photos. I made them for a proposal for--well obviously for this set. Unfortunately, I was not aware that Star Trek is a restricted IP and that Lego would not allow the proposal to go public because of course, what would be the point?

There's no point in keeping the photos and description to myself though, especially with the work that went into them. Description below:

'Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Lego starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no minifigure has gone before.'

Thrown through a spatial anomaly to a universe of modular building bricks, the crew of Starfleet's famous flagship find themselves sitting on your desk! With around 1800 parts, this UCS scaled Enterprise-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation is lovingly detailed and mounts on an elegant display stand complete with dedication plaque. But the Enterprise-D is hardly the first ship to bear her name. Display the original Constitution class Enterprise from the 1960s TV classic alongside and at the same scale.

And of course, it isn't a Galaxy class starship without a separating saucer. With the secondary display stand--mounted with a Starfleet badge and the nanofigures of the main bridge crews of both the original series and The Next Generation--you can show off both the saucer and the stardrive sections at once! The nanofigures aren't just for display; act out some of your favorite scenes or make up your own story when you remove the saucer plates to access the main bridge.

Features:

-Prepare for saucer separation: When facing a highly dangerous threat, Captain Picard decides to split the saucer off into its own ship. With the secondary stand, you can mount the saucer and display it right alongside the stardrive section. Just swap the saucer for the battle bridge attachment and you suddenly have two ships!

-Control the action yourself: Remove the panel on the saucer section and access the main bridge. With the detailed nanofigures, the bridge crew is ready for anything. Place Data at Ops, Worf at Tactical, and Picard in his Captain's chair and 'Engage' at warp 6!

-Time for a temporal anomaly: Display the Constitution class Enterprise from the original series alongside its successor. Built to the same scale and detailed with a deflector array, impulse engines, and shuttle bay doors; you can command this highly swooshable starship on its five year mission of exploration and adventure.

-Assemble the senior staff: The nanofigures inlcude The Next Generation's Captain Picard, Commander Riker, Lt. Commander La Forge, Lt. Commander Data, Lieutenant Worf, Dr. Crusher, Counselor Troi, and the original series' Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Dr. "Bones" McCoy, Chief Engineer Scotty, Lieutenant Uhura, Lieutenant Sulu, and Ensign Chekov.

Built for play or display, these two starships are sure to be popular with all ages. Whether you are a young fan of great Lego sets, or a nostalgic collector of Star Trek memorabilia, please support this project and help us to bring the knowledge of the galaxy to everyone.

This is one of several copycat builds I've done recently. I feel like the folks who take the trouble to provide instructions, LDD files, or build photos deserve to know they were put to good use. :)

This is my model of the Enterprise. Please write criticism and suggestions for improvement in the comments. Fun fact: this is the first spaceship I have ever build.

NIR GM Co-Co No 113 streaks south through Laytown on 14th May 1994, with a Belfast-Dublin 'Enterprise' service.

The pride of the Avratic navy, the mighty Enterprise class battlecruiser!

The Enterprise may not be as big or as heavily armored as her counterparts, but she makes up for it with speed, maneuverability, and firepower.

The Enterprise is currently the fastest ship in the Avratic navy with a top speed of 35 knots.

The ships design focuses mainly on speed, firepower, and range at the expense of heavy armor.

Specifications:

Weight: 38,000 tons

Length: 720 feet

Speed: 35 knots

Combat range: 18,000 km at 12 knots

Armament: 12x 11 inch guns, 4x 5 inch guns, 10x triple AA guns

Equipment: 1x rear mounted scout plane catapult

Crew: 850

On her second last trip before retirement, the Algoma Enterprise is downbound for Sept-Îles Québec. She'll return to Duluth to pick up coal for Detroit before heading to Port Colborne for scrapping.

Surprisingly difficult to photography because of it size, the space shuttle Enterprise is the centerpiece of the James S. McDonnell Space Hangar at the National Air and Space Museum. Sad to think that the shuttle's last flight is just months away.

The Space Shuttle Enterprise arrives in New York City above a specially modified 747. Known as OV-101, the Enterprise was built in 1976 and was used as a test vehicle for atmospheric flight, and did not include engines or a functioning heat shield. After the Challenger incident in 1986, NASA considered using Enterprise as a replacement, but deemed it more cost-efficient to build a new orbiter using spares left over from the construction of Atlantis and Discovery. Enterprise spent the next several years at the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. Upon the retirement of the shuttle fleet, Discovery would be given to the Smithsonian, while the Intrepid Air and Space Museum in NYC would get the Enterprise.

The Shuttle Carrier Aircraft, a 747-123 (N905NA) originally with American Airlines, was designed solely to carry the shuttles from any alternate landing site back to Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The SCA will be retired once all shuttles are brought to their final homes, and it will be used for spare parts for NASA's Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy, a 747SP used to carry an reflective telescope at about 41,000 feet.
