My two cents.

Well, Flickr deployed the troops at last. Now every picture protesting is being deleted from Explore so it seems that's the end of the strike for now.

On the other hand, every demonstration comes to its end, and I gues it would be difficult to do a coordinate halt for all of us. Maybe it's time for Flickr to think, to give them some time and to wait for explanations. Up to this moment they were doing -with some flaws limited to moderation / administration- a good work.

Cheers to all of you. See you next time on the barricades.

After those passionate billing, hope they had some good ending!

Never ending view ... A view I never tire of. It always puts a smile on your face just as you walk around the last bend it comes into view in all it's glory.

Around a decade ago, the CRIP station signs on this line fell and made way for these new IANR ones, but soon, they too will likely fall in the wake of CN's takeover of the Iowa Northern Railway.

There was a 'happy ending' to my Goose/Osprey story...here is how it ended!

The day before we left on our trip it was rather cold and foggy but I had to go check one more time to see if the goslings had hatched. As I sat there observing thru my camera I saw movement. I took several images and counted at least five little faces peering over the top of the nest! I knew I was going to miss the big jump to water...darn!

When we returned a week later I immediately went to the sight, the Geese were gone, and found that the Osprey did indeed reclaim their rightful nest and were doing a little remodeling! As I sat watching I saw two geese approaching at a distance away and as they got closer I could see five little goslings between them! They swam between me and the pilings that supported the nest they had to jump from to start their new life with mom & dad.

My heart swelled up with pride with this 'happy ending' knowing all was well.

[EXPLORE]

I hope I am not the only one who is happy that summer is coming to an end. This summer was exceptionally HOT where I live. I am not a fan of the heat. I also think I can speak for just about anyone when I say, we are close to another season and year ending. I am super excited for autumn and all that is autumn in Second Life. It is not only my favorite season in RL but here also. Sweaters and jeans, boots and leggings and all the autumn colors that come with it.

This land was a piece i have been working on for the last week or so. I decorate when I need to just let go of RL and the things that are bothering me.

I went to the L2 Studio sim for a bit of inspiration when I wanted to compliment Miss Lindini Lane on her choices of Decor. Simply adore her shabby chic style. I happened to come upon this build; The Writers Shed. I have been to this sim many times and I had never seen it. So happy I had because it was so lovely to decorate. Not only that, Miss Lane was so gracious, she offered it to me as a gift ♥ So thank you again for your generous gift!

You might be able to tell, the inside is packed full of amazing decor. While this home is small, it is fabulous to decorate for any person who loves decor as much as me.

There are a few items I would like to spotlight. TBF- The Black Forest is in this round of Cosmopolitan with an amazing set. I especially like the Kerosene Lamp, it comes with different options as well as being able to carry it with a bento pose. Check out this item and the others he has just inside the entrance this round starting Monday September the 7th.

There also may be a few items listed that you can't see. This is because a lot of them might be in the garden shed or just inside the home. I will try to sift them out before I post, just know I did the best I can ♥

A full inventory of items is listed below, enjoy! ♥

365/2023 - A Never-Ending Journey - Day

10 Jan 10

Dusk kicks in and the pink shades appear

A storm front had moved in earlier in the day and threatened to skunk our sunset. Like magic at the very last hour, the clouds began to part and shafts of sunlight danced across the landscape. I was with Matt and our Aperture Academy students and also got to meet Kristal Leonard-Ferrara, Toby Harriman, and Amy Heiden at Tunnel View that evening. It was a very nice ending to a great weekend.

I've been busy with 101 things at once...well, OK, maybe just half a dozen...but hope you're all out there enjoying your summer and catching the good light! Thanks as always for stopping by for a look! :)

KCS 3929 leads the CP 473 out of Bensenville Yard in spectacular golden light. This was the second train today to have a KCS SD70MAC leading, and on respective trains too. We had planned to shoot this at Wood Dale past the searchlights but shadows were coming in quick and we made a quick maneuver down here. Boy am I glad we did. And not to mention, we ran into 2 CP police officers throughout the day including here. Both of them were shockingly nice compared to what I've heard about them. Overall, a great day to be up here. 1/16/16

Our Daily Challenge ~ Beginnings and/or Endings

Newly planted 'Sweet William' ready for next year and one of the last leaves to fall off my Blackcurrant bush.

Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. Any comments or Faves are very much appreciated

This picture was taken from Pandan Indah flyover, Kuala Lumpur. I'm fed up with the never ending traffic jammed. However, God has given me a wonderful sighting. Luckily I bring my camera all the time... this is my second time I captured a wonderful sighting from Pandan Indah flyover after the sign of Allah appearing from clouds on 22/11/08.....

This isn't anything epic, but I wanted to finish the story. At the trailhead it tells you that it leads to the Northrup homestead and that you are walking through Northrup Canyon and the history of how this family created irrigation in the desert to grow crops and made roads to deliver them to cities thus kick starting farming in this beautiful yet rugged land. The first house that you will see is the one built around 1930 when the kids return and then you come across this. In 1894 John Northrup's health declined and he leased out some of the land to a man named Israel Sanford. In 1901, not long after John's passing, Sanford murdered John's wife Catherine (Caty) in her lavatory over a growing land dispute. He was acquitted of the crime due to reasons of insanity due to his service in the Civil War but the land went back to the children at that point. Today these wrecks are now historic property, the bones were well constructed, but the subsequent additions and repairs were not. Don't know how much time they have left.

of a beautiful life

One could probably say "endings are beginnings" as well.

Every sunrise gives you a new beginning and a new ending....

We'll start with well a description about a photo I never wanted to take a not one I wanted to write either but I wanted my own bit of history for one of the buses that I remember when it was brand new during the Scottish Commonwealth games of 2014 when they were initially being used as shuttle buses. There are many Flickr photos of that but a bit before my development.

Thankfully, everyone who did happen to be on this bus during the incident that I will mention did manage to get off unharmed, it helped that it was right at the end of the route.

So, the story on the 11th of June 2023 during a normal Sunday on usual service 1 duties there was suddenly a big puff of black smoke that was in the air around the North of Edinburgh. This was because the bus on show Lothian buses 11 had gone on fire a stop away from the Clermiston bus terminus, It looked like it was an engine fault that led the back of the bus to be absolutely destroyed.

A week on and I knew it was at Marine lying in a sorry state, I was well aware that I was photoless of it so wanted to make a quick stop off to see if it was able to be a photo and lucky for me it was sat at the end of the road that I managed to grab a whole profile shot of. So, here will be my shot off 11 as I am pretty sure that it will unfortunately be scrapped as at 9 years old and rather unreliable as was I doubt that a repair and return to service will be likely.
