The image shows a loaded coal train from the Shakhtinsk coal yard, on route to the Central Enrichment Facility No. 1. The locomotive is TEM7A-125, a cute little shunting engine for particularly heavy-duty tasks. We were in the "Абайский район" area; to the left, behind mine water basin, the outskirts of the Шахта Абайская begin. The first track on the level crossing also leads to this mine.

This is taken from my garden in North Norfolk and is facing south east. It was one of those strange evenings when not only is sunset light and colour fierce, but also spread out across the sky which gave me the opportunity to take this.
The last of this years Strawberries having a hug from the Dandelion Seed, I wonder if they are saying goodbye until next time . This was September it feels like we have dived right into winter.

During my patrol of a nine block area, I noticed these flowers had been delivered, but not brought inside for three days, and I assumed the tenants were away on some trip. Yesterday, when I saw this cat in the window, I became concerned and contacted the receptionist for the building. She contacted the tenant and found out that these flowers had been left outside because they are poisonous for cats. It turned out that everything was OK and the cat was not locked inside starving. A happy ending!

declina, l'estate, svelando i tesori dell'autunno
(declinassero pure le zanzare! messo piede nel vigneto e nell'orto, vicino al fiume, sono stata assalita da stormi di agguerrrite, assetate zanzare. A baionetta innestata, le possino)
Reading & Northern's MEPI arrives at West Pittston, PA completing their run over the road. The one thing about this job is even though they run west in the AM and east in the PM, there are a couple of locations that twist around just enough to get the trains head end into some decent light. This being one such location and a great place to end the days chase.
Capture with the 9 Stop ND filter, slowed the shutter just a little to enhance the reflection. A littler earlier today it was cloudy with light snow ... to give way to this bright sunset.
Across the ages we have reigned as we endured
Through the storm fronts we will ever surely pass
To stand as never ending light

Eye to eye with canyon!
After couple of days paddling we got to the canyon we heard about but didn't know nothing. Czon is checking possibilities of going through but it turned out that rapids are too powerful so we got stuck totally between vertical walls until stressed out we portaged through it thinking that is not possible. Biggest obstacle we ever encountered when paddling. By the way pure beauty and wild !

365/2023 - A Never-Ending Journey - Day 86 March 27 - Back in Quartzsite, Az for four days on the way home and the sunset did not dissapoint us!
The fantastic thing about endings is that they offer new beginnings. Don’t get me wrong, endings remind us of the fragility of what we have and are often thorny sometimes tender to deal with, but they do offer a glimpse of the new.
The end of the year for me is a reflective time, I’m another year older, my little ones are turning into bigger ones, I’m nearing a milestone birthday, and I’m back at work ‘soon’, where I will be stepping back onto the path of normal life. I do like to try and take side steps in these holidays, or at least meander as much as I can so what time I have counts and isn’t wasted! But as I said, it’s a new beginning! Time to reflect and make changes, time to look into the distance and make changes that enrich our journey towards the setting sun!
It’s the now that counts, after all what else is there!
Oh if I can pull you away from the moment…myself and Tony Spencer are doing a weekend workshop in Cornwall this August, (haven’t discussed dates yet, but will probably be early on). Anyway, if you’re interested drop me a line and I can keep you posted…
Perhaps the hardest part for me in the ending of autumn is the way that it leaves. Sternly, quick and no nonsense. Within a few days the last of the leaves have blown away and a sudden chill leaves you shivering in the evenings. It happens before I am fully aware. When the realization hits me, there is inevitably a sadness that sets in. After all Autumn is a time of dying although it seems morbid to think of it that way. But it is a time of memory for me, a reminder of the beauty of life and how fleeting the moments of beauty are before the end sets in. I took this from my balcony, it's quite far away but I knew this was the end. The next morning the tree was completely bare and the leaves lay peacefully at rest.
Nature really unpredictable!
I feel blessed to witness the most gorgeous sunset I've ever encounter since the day i started my photography life! =)
this is one of them and you'll see a lot more on my coming post!
Have a great week my friends! =D
