After lifting this emulsion, I transferred it to heavy watercolor paper. Then it was coated with Mod Podge Gloss.

Originally an iPhone 5s shot paired with the Instant Lab to produce a beautiful B&W Gen 2.0 film shot used in the emulsion lift process and this is the resulting negative.

Entretien de notre rack-laboratoire de physique des fluides. Cet équipement de l’ESA est arrivé en 2008 et depuis son amélioration par Alex, c’est devenu un équipement essentiel pour la recherche sur les alliages, mousses, émulsions et tout type de fluides. Parmi les expériences récentes, l’étude des bulles dans la mousse en impesanteur (de nombreuses applications industrielles). Une autre, plus ancienne, avait recréé certaines conditions internes de la Terre pour observer le comportement du manteau terrestre, la couche entre le noyau et la croute si je n’ai pas oublié mes cours de géologie

Fluid Science Laboratory maintenance. The ESA facility arrived here in 2008 but Alexander Gerst upgraded it on his second mission and it has been a staple of fluid physics research. A recent experiment includes looking at foams to study them for longer without gravity breaking them apart. An older one actually recreated aspects of our planet Earth, to study how magma in the Earth's mantle might behave!

I was in London at the weekend (of the 19.05.2018) and while there I saw the "Shape of Light" exhibition about abstraction in photography at Tate Modern. I thought the exhibition was exquisite and I came home with plenty of ideas about how multi image Polaroid emulsion lift prints could be used to create abstract images.
This print was essentially made from 8 identical Polaroid prints made using my Impossible Instant Lab with the images flipped and/or rotated to form an abstract pattern.

Second outing using the FPP hand-rolled Emulsion X 35mm bw film. Emulsion X was discovered in an unknown film vault. Where? Why? We'll never know. What we do know is somehow 800 feet wound up at The Film Photography Project. In short supply.
