This is by far one of my favorite ornaments! It is supposed to be able to plug into the tree and it recites a line from the "Wizard of Oz" where the wizard says, "I am the great and powerful, Wizard of Oz! Who are you? WHO ARE YOU?!", but for some reason I haven't been able to get it to work with the tree I currently have. My old one worked fine, and it was so cute listening to it!

The newest one I have is one from "Gone With the Wind", where Rhett Butler is about to walk out the door on Scarlet, and it has a sound clip from that scene where he tells her "Frankly, my Dear, I don't give a d___n.". I was a little disappointed because it wasn't Vivian Leigh's or Clark Gable's voices, but this one from the iconic "Wizard of Oz" does seem to be a clip directly from the movie, though I might be wrong, since it's been so many years since I've actually heard it.

My other all time favorite is one of Bing Crosby sitting in a cozy arm chair and singing, "White Christmas"! Both that one and the "Gone With the Wind" one have a button you push to make it talk. I wish this one did, too!

I hope everyone is having a great week before Christmas! I will probably be posting for the next couple of days, but not much after that. Just in case, I'd like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!

Though a stunning sunset, I later learned that the intensely smoky sky was the result of a forest fire in the Olympic National Forest due to negligent campers not properly extinguishing their campfire.

A piece of architecture I never grow weary of and continue to marvel at whenever I walk through it: an inspiring fusion of science and art. With camera in hand, the possibilities always feel inexhaustible here.

Zoom in on the prices! Wowza!

Today the We're Here! gang is visiting the Rock'n'roll group.

Finding a fresh perspective of famous landmarks like the Space Needle is getting harder and harder, especially from such well travelled hotspots as this, but I still keep trying.

We here at Blythe Fifth Avenue, feel that we have done so many "Oz, Wizard, Ruby Slippers, Glenda, Toto, Wicked Witch, Hourglass, Flying Monkey, Yellow Brick Road, etc. pics of late ... we hesitate to bore the audience with yet another ...

Even little Ruby ... I mean, Dorothy ... is sleeping through THIS ONE ... not to worry, she will wake up in time to get to her hair appointment ...

But in the meantime, we shall just ENJOY our nap time ... thank you WWW ...

Your move.

On days that it is not raining, Westlake Park features a giant sized chessboard. Although its not quite like the Chess District in New York City, it is interesting to walk past the board as people are moving the over sized pieces around. Personally I have never been that great a chess player. I have never had the patience to learn the nuances of the game. If there is a giant scabble board however, game on.

Seattle Public Library - Seattle, Washington.

Houston is a sprawling modern metropolis located in the US state of Texas. The city extends all the way to Galveston Bay. This metropolis is closely linked with the Space Center Houston and the coastal visitor center at NASA’s astronaut training and flight control complex. The city’s high density compact Downtown includes the Theater District, home to the renowned Houston Grand Opera, and the Historic District, which pairs 19th-century architecture with trendy restaurants.

I guess today is the start of an upcoming dark ride extravaganza for me. I'm basically out of usable night shots so I guess it's time to shift gears and focus on my dark ride stuff. I should have enough to make it til my upcoming trip in March! To start, here's a shot from the last scene of The Great Movie Ride. Enjoy and thanks for looking!

P.S. This one looks really great on large if you have a moment.

Coronado Ferry Landing

Switch back to color mode with this iconic view of Seattle. It’s been months since I’ve visited this location so last Friday I stopped by after work wanted to capture Christmas lights on top of the Space Needle. However, it was chilly and windy so after an hour I left. While I was going through the images from last Friday I pulled this out from one of the hard drives. This was photographed in July where the weather on that day was quite nice with no rain, just clear blue sky and even reveal Mt. Rainier in the distance.

Last month one of Washington local charity associations was looking for gallery donations to help raise money. I printed and framed this Kerry Park shot and donated at their charity event. I was also invited to this event since I was one of the donators. I told the charity representative that I don’t have much but I will give what I can to help out. The funny part was when I saw all the other galleries my print size 12X18 was one of the smaller ones :-) However, this photo finally got sold to one of their guests. I was quite happy that it got sold but at the same time I was humble as a person to be able to help others especially with something I love to do.

Another good news I wanted to share is that I am now officially a Getty Images contributor :-)

As always, thanks again for critiques and comments and happy Holidays!!!

I love this part of Seattle. I have memories of trips here from before I was four years old.

That might have something to do with it.
