I am guessing that these chalice-like fungus are Cookiena species. If anyone knows the Latin designation I would be happy to learn it.

This owl was photographed on a Texas Target Birds trip to Arizona. It was so small one of the participants had a difficult time locating it since she thought it was part of the tree.

Die "Traum-Elf 69" waren eine Sammelserie von Medaillen (von Shell "Münzen" genannt) aus dem Jahr 1969, die von der Firma Shell in Westdeutschland herausgegeben wurde. Wer mindestens 15 Liter Benzin an einer Shell-Tankstelle tankte, konnte eine der 20 Medaillen mit berühmten Fußballspielern der damaligen Zeit erhalten, inklusive der Extra-Münzen. Das Ziel war, die gesamte "Traum-Elf" zu sammeln und auf speziellen Sammelkarten zu komplettieren.
Name: Die Serie hieß "Traum-Elf 69", da es um eine Sammlung von 20 bekannten Fußballspielern ging, die als "Traum-Elf" des Jahres 1969 bezeichnet wurden.
Herausgeber: Die Aktion wurde von der Firma Shell veranstaltet und fand an ihren Tankstellen in Westdeutschland statt.
Erhalt der Medaillen: Kunden erhielten eine Medaille pro 15 Liter getanktem Benzin während der Aktion.
Sammelziele: Die Medaillen wurden im Set von 20 Spielern herausgegeben. Sammelkarten für die Spieler waren separat für 50 Pfennig erhältlich.
Verwendung: Kunden konnten die Medaillen auf Sammelbrettern platzieren, die zwei verschiedene Aufstellungen der damaligen Zeit zeigten: die traditionelle 2-3-5-Formation (Pyramide) und die 4-2-4-Formation (brasilianisch).
Medaillen-Design: Auf der Vorderseite der Medaillen befand sich das Gesicht eines Fußballspielers mit Namen, während die Rückseite das Shell-Logo und die Jahreszahl 1969 trug.

The cavity was at least 20 feet above the ground and we had to step back quite a bit (to the great displeasure of a rattlesnake) to get a good viewing angle.
