Trust me...I'm mismatched on purpose! :) Oh, and I don't really like this.

please don't give up on me, guys...I'm sorry for my photos, they're not so great lately...

An eccentric mix of engines lead RoadRailer BNSF Train Q SAGKCK1 20A down the High Line at Morris on the BNSF Emporia Sub. Included are a pair of BNSF's LNG Dual Fuel units bracketing a fuel tender, a NS SD70M-2, and NS 8103, the Norfolk and Western Heritage Unit. This RoadRailer stopped running in November 2015.

This was particularly interesting, having just visited the original N&W in Virginia the week before.

When machines were built with pride & to last forever.

Scientists have discovered a star behaving like no other seen before, giving fresh clues about the origin of a new class of mysterious objects. This composite image features a mysterious object, possibly an unusual neutron star or white dwarf, residing near the edge of a supernova remnant. The object, known as ASKAP J1832, has been intriguing astronomers from the Chandra X-ray Observatory and Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder radio telescope with its antics and bizarre behavior.

Astronomers have discovered that ASKAP J1832 cycles in radio wave intensity every 44 minutes. This is thousands of times longer than pulsars, which are rapidly spinning neutron stars that have repeated variations multiple times a second. Using Chandra, the team discovered that the object is also regularly varying in X-rays every 44 minutes. This is the first time such an X-ray signal has been found in a long period radio transient like ASKAP J1832.

Excerpt from agb.life/visit/exhibitions/zotz-collective:

Z’otz* Collective: Eccentric Coincidence

Inspired by the AGB’s architectural space and the cast of characters who wander these halls, Z’otz* have introduced a new eccentric troupe of creatures onto the scene with their expansive mural installation. The artist collective works spontaneously and intuitively, using mixed media and clay to explore their subconscious through drawings and sculpture. Their vivid storytelling explores themes of memory and Mesoamerican mythology through humour and collective action.

Seen this a million times. It occurred to Matt to snap it today.

Some info from the Mansion's facebook page:

"The Haunted Victorian Mansion...Karen Mossey, Manchester Haunted Places Examiner....When you think of haunted places in New England, one place that comes to mind is the very haunted Victorian mansion in Gardner, MA. Built around 1875, it has a long and erratic history and accounts of murder and death. It is no wonder that many of its inhabitants are ghosts whom have decided not to move out. Originally a private residence of the wealthy businessman S.K. Pierce, its history of becoming a brothel and boarding house and residence of an eccentric artist whose paintings were a bit disturbing, might be the reason the Victorian is infested with imprints of residual energy. Current and past owners have come to live with the paranormal phenomena that occur in the mansion as a usual state of affairs. As a matter of fact, they have opened the mansion up to Ghostly events and expo's whose proceeds help to maintain the architectural magnificence of this historic landmark. I have lectured at and investigated the Victorian many times and it just keeps calling me back. When walking through its huge 9 foot mahogany door, there is a feeling that the resident Spirits are waiting to welcome you. Each visit never fails to yield remarkable paranormal evidence. The ghosts of the dead are very much alive and well at the Victorian."

According to home.howstuffworks.com/eccentric-home-passageway7.htm, "The 24-room Gillette Castle was built high on a cliff above the Connecticut River in 1913 by William Gillette, a successful stage actor renowned for his role as Sherlock Holmes."

Hi folks, I finally managed to get out for a few hours in the sunshine after nine weeks of confinement and found this great, but sadly closed, antiques shop. I love thing like this and will return to have a look around the shops are able to re-open.

From an ellipse.

A circular pattern, redrawn with a vanishing point. If you look at it from the right angle, it turns back into a circle, but then you lose all the fun of the ellipse. So, we won't do that.

Thought I'd give xpro another go (the first when Snappy Snaps on Byres road had run out of E6 was disappointing, as you'd expect from pictures that were taken for 'straight' processing) and got quite a few that worked rather nicely I think...

This was taken on the way home from work the Friday before I went to Tbilisi when the skies opened and although it was only 6-ish on a Friday it was dark as night. Huddled beneath an umbrella I flicked over to f2.8 and clicked at this.

It was also made "Photo of the Day" by Platinum Hearts Group.

This tree stands near the entrance to Hayes Garden Centre on the outskirts of Ambleside, in the English Lake District.

When I first saw it there were many black birds perching on it. As I neared it to take a few shots, I noticed one bird was pecking the back of the neck of another bird; the latter seemed untroubled by this.

My husband thinks it would be to get rid of any lice or similar pest.

As for the tree itself, I think it looks glorious without leaves. Its crazy branches look almost surreal.

I had lunch at "Meguro tea house" near the museum. The interior is exciting here and it is the best for Instagram.
