Using a 16:9 cinematic crop here to really emphasise my wide angle shot taking in the concentric circles of the paving blocks in St Enoch Square, just as the rather eccentric looking gentleman walks across the scene.

An eccentric picture in Long’s body of work, this clearly shorthand oil sketch shows a couple in an urban park. Whether they have come here for relaxation or a vagrants who have found a moment of rest in their travels, their poses seem angular and awkward, while the branches overhead heighten the tense mood. The attributed date may be incorrect; the painting may depict the effect of the great Depressions, during which many rendered homeless.

An eccentric mix of engines lead RoadRailer BNSF Train Q SAGKCK1 20A down the High Line at Morris on the BNSF Emporia Sub. Included are a pair of BNSF's LNG Dual Fuel units bracketing a fuel tender, a NS SD70M-2, and NS 8103, the Norfolk and Western Heritage Unit. This RoadRailer stopped running in November 2015.
This was particularly interesting, having just visited the original N&W in Virginia the week before.
