Das Exzenterhaus ist ein Bürohochhaus auf der Universitätsstraße in Bochum. Es überbaut einen ehemals denkmalgeschützten siebengeschossigen Luftschutzbunker aus dem Jahr 1942.
The Exzenterhaus is a high-rise office building on Universitätsstraße in Bochum. It is built over a formerly listed seven-storey air raid shelter from 1942.
This house was built across the street from the real Steamboat House here in Huntsville Texas. A local wealthy businessman feels passionate about a number of subjects, and was so incensed with the work done in preserving one of Sam Houston’s homes, he had a similar house built to mock the real one. Note the sign he has hung on the house to attack the museum director.
The examples of his eccentricity are abundant, but I will stick with this one!

This is the last shot from our Dubbo via Molong and Parkes to Dubbo day trip. Tomorrow, some fine heritage buildings from some fine heritage towns towards Orange. This shot of a front yard in the small former gold mining town of Peak Hill (see following photos) shows a rather artistic and probably eccentric front yard on the Newell Highway through town. It's just one of those places. Zoom in and see what you can see. Don't know if they are for sale!
The eccentric Hump-nosed Lizard lives in the moisture, lowland forests of Sri Lanka, where it is endemic. It can be found, as this one was, perched on the trunk of a tree or other vertical branches. The males are bright green and use their yellow throat to communicate or to make themselves look bigger. This male was found in the wild and photographed insitu. Unfortunately, due to habitat loss and poaching, this species is in decline, and as such it is recognized as Near Threatened.

In the summer of 2018, the city of Carcassonne — a medieval fortress dating back to the Gallo-Roman period — celebrated its twentieth anniversary as a Unesco World Heritage Site by inviting Swiss artist Felice Varini to create an ephemeral work on the city's ramparts and towers.
The artist had glued strips of aluminum foil painted yellow on the stones, to form an anamorphosis: designed to be seen from a specific location, the strips then formed "eccentric concentric circles", title of the work.
A work amply photographed and shared on social networks, thus ensuring a renewed notoriety to the city. The work was then, as expected, dismantled.
But the bands left traces on the walls, where the concentric circles are finally still visible, in hollow, like the skin remained under a bathing suit all summer... They should leave gradually, but difficult to anticipate the time necessary.
The drivers side eccentric assembly of Ex-BR STD Class 4 tank no. 80079. The loco currently keeps warm and dry within the confines of The Engine House, Highley.
