Hopefully this counts as a dutch tilt... The subject is a desert wine glass (containing desert...).The frame is just under 3" and just shy of 2" wide. The wrapping paper (background) is on a diagonal to gravity with the stem of the glass arranged perpendicular to it. The camera is tilted such that the stripes are parallel to the frame. HMM!

A previously unpublished shot from April 2019 that is one of only a couple of unpublished photographs that I have with dogs in them.
Given as the 'dog days of summer' are almost over for this year I thought I'd share it today. I can't see an Afghan Hound now without hearing the voice of Destiny from the Mongrel's TV series. Not a bad thing though as I loved that series! Dame Judy Dench!
Happy World Photography Day!

Macro Mondays: Dutch Angle
A little watch I was given when I was 12 on window louver slats.
It's only 1½cm wide; too hard to read; doesn't fit; doesn't work ... but it was a gift from my parents and has my name engraved on the back so I still keep it 😀
HMM- the macro mondays group's theme for today is Translucent. am pretty sure this will be my choice.
btb, the bubbles are inside the glass. will post another macro in the comment box, so you can see what it looks when it's not backlit.
btb2, the part that is lit up, is under 1 inch in length

Late winter afternoon, and the sunlight streamed in low and bright. Three miniature Japanese vases lined up on a sheet of white paper, find a crazy angle ... and click!

#smileonsaturday #beginswithb
Been outdoors for some vintage shooting with the vintage minolta MD 50mm lens which meant manual focus on my X-T4. Tried to catch up some inages for the upcoming #smileonsaturday Challenge. I might choose this one. An old vintage bench shot by an even older vintage manual prime lens.
Because of the serial number i can date my lens to be produced in the late 70`s. Probably 1978 or 1979.

Limited in his nature, infinite in his desires, man is a fallen god who remembers the heavens. Alphonse de Lamartine. Méditations poétiques 1820.
For Smile on Saturday's #Dutch Angle theme; using the camera tilt to give a feeling of flight to our Lego X-Wing (along with a little ICM).
(Not where I thought I'd go with this theme, but I wanted to have a bit of fun... hoping it's in keeping with the theme and that it makes someone smile)
