The history of a Cape Gooseberry (Chinese Lantern) cultivation in South America can be traced to the Inca. It has been cultivated in England since the late 18th century. Widely introduced in the 20th century, it is cultivated or grows wild across the world in temperate and tropical regions.
😄 Happy Macro Monday 😄

When clearing out my mom's house after she moved to a care facility, I found this lovely pill box on her nightstand. It was broken, but nothing a little glue couldn't fix. Not sure how long she had it, or where it came from. I cannot ask her, as a thief named Alzheimer stole all her memories. I decided of all her things, that was what I wanted to keep as my treasure.

HMM and happy new week!
Thanks for visiting. I am very grateful for the kind comments and faves.
Uploaded for SOS theme "Dutch Angle". At no time was I in any danger. Well you can't be lying on the floor. Picture taken using a wonderful bit of photographic kit called "Camera Ranger 2" This uses Wi-Fi to project what camera sees onto my iPad and I can control everything from the pad. Had a lot of fun creating this.
Have a good Saturday friends and keep safe.

Might be a sign of the times but I used a face mask as a light diffuser on this shot!

Since I’m working today, I will have to run in order to make it on time to my office / dining room !! See you later !!

The tilt and the lack of space in front brings the element of claustrophobic tension to this composition adding to the drama is the knife and the title...
I'd sincerely appreciate a critical study of this work

Hi There!
Macro Mondays is a weekly, theme-based challenge group. This week's challenge? Dutch Angle.
After spending many moons trying to take straight images, this was a tough challenge for me. I hope that this shot of my cribbage board is somewhere in the ballpark of a Dutch Angle. If not, I'm always up for constructive criticism! Happy Macro Mondays! HMM!
Thanks a million for stopping by and for your comments. I do appreciate hearing from you!

For the 'Smile on Saturday! :-)" theme: Dutch Angle/Tilt.
You see D.T. Suzuki Museum (鈴木大拙館, Suzuki Daisetsu Kan), Kanazawa, Japan. See first comment box for a 'normal view' ;-)
""A Dutch tilt is a camera shot in which the camera angle is deliberately slanted to one side. This can be used for dramatic effect and helps portray unease, disorientation, frantic or desperate action, intoxication, madness, etc.
It's also known as Dutch angle, German angle, oblique angle, canted angle and even the Batman angle.
The Dutch tilt was used a lot in German films of the 1930s and 1940s. This is where the name German angle came from. The Dutch term is said to have been a mistranslation of the German Deutsch.""
