You'd think with a valet as a sign proclaiming the quality of this cleaners on 4155 Piedmont Ave. Apparently not.

383, London Road, Hadleigh, Essex. This was the cleaning centre of the Dane Dye Works. There were a number of branches, one of which was in Broadway West, Leigh-on-Sea. The Hadleigh premises are now occupied by Johnsons Apparelmaster also dry cleaners.

Not only do the customers seem to like Roy's, at 1100 El Camino Real, it appears the birds do too. Wonder if their on staff to add to the business?.

I've always loved this building and the contrast between it and the mural painted on the side of the next building.

Day 11
August 10, 1954 – Leader, Saskatchewan
“We stopped at Leader for petrol and leaving Helen in the car, the rest of us went into a drug store to buy films. The man there was intrigued with us and asked where we were going and where we were from. At first he said he had my size of film, but it turned out he was wrong. ‘You roll me over a barrel’ he said when he found he hadn’t any. As we were leaving he said ‘there are 3 or 4 scent sprays behind the counter if girls like scent.’ So we covered ourselves with “Miracle” and so on and went out reeking to the car to shock Helen.” /
Jour 11

Lot's of stuff going on here, couldn't resist. The big building in the reflection a spiraling ramp to a parking garage.
Nice Hoffman Collar/Cuff machines. Two available. Call Moore Services @(800)941-MORE. These are in excellent shape and will sell quickly.
I spend a lot of time in the studio fusing interfacing to fabric. At times I wish I had one of those big pant steamers like drycleaners have. That'd probably work well for interfacing, eh? Too bad they probably also cost $4k.
Also, it's really hard to capture steam on camera without much light. The steam always swirls up from under the ironing board in these cool twisty columns but I can't catch that.

This dry cleaners has a nice enough storefront, but it is the neon signs in the windows that make the place shine.
