Um bloco simpático e versátil, pra quem gosta de curvas.

this beautiful pillow showed up in my mailbox and I could not be happier with it. Love all the gorgeous fabrics and I absolutely adore drunkard's path pattern. Thank you Kirsten for this beauty.

I just received this amazing pillow from Brooke (Pitter Putter Stitch). It's perfect in every way, my kind of colors, my kind of fabric, gorgeous quilting. Just wonderful. Thank you soooo much, Brooke. I love it.

I blogged about it here: sotakhandmade.blogspot.com/2012/02/pillow-talk-swap-7.html

I don't know the name of this variation. Do you? I'm reminded of lanterns, floor tiles, traffic lights?

variations on drunkard's path - I made a lot of these blocks!

A belated sneak peak of my little quilt. Don't worry I'm way further than this now but thought I had better post something :)

So many choices for the layout. I am leaning towards the circles. I could spend a long time playing with them and trying things out.

Drunkard's Path - a day at the beach @ The Little Red Hen

I finished the top at the weekend...so it was a super fast one. And not too much of a pain to put together. It is actually smaller than the tutorial, but that's because I realised it was ridiculously girly and was only going to get even more girly if I carried on (most of the other blocks were purpley or pink or just a bit on the girly side). So I stopped at lap size. Or baby size. 50ish inches x 60ish inches.

I will make another one, because it was fun. Fancy that - curved piecing fun. I never thought I'd utter those words!

After putting together the single girl/retro flower pillow top, I wasn't pleased with how the curves turned out. So, I decided to switch gears and go with idea #2. I hope you like it partner.

(As an aside, I'm planning on using the other pillow top in a lap quilt with that block as the focal point.)

I want this to be at least a twin size quilt again. That's the perfect size for me, and the largest I can quilt with my sewing machine.

Close-up of just the quilt that I think will be yours, partner. It's the one with fewer blips.

Drunkard's Path

I'm not sure what this version of DP this is called, but I think of it as "Bunny Ears" because it reminds me of the floppy ears on the Trix rabbit. Thus, the pink "nose" :).

Went for the scrappy look as i am overflowing with them! yikes. Also decided to make two instead of one so i could give them as a gift if i need to! Put the same fabric on the back but it is late and i couldn't get a good picture!
