Drunkard's Path. Made from Tabslot (madeonmainstreet) templates. For my awesome partner in PTS6!

I wanted to use large pieces of this beautiful Alexander Henry floral. The "windflower" blocks were fussy to piece, but I'm happy with the effect.

Excerpt from barnquilttrails.ca/barns/elgin-county/drunkards-path-2/:

Drunkard’s Path – Three of Sparta’s four taverns voluntarily closed with the rise of the temperance movement. Led by two ministers and Dr. Shannon, citizens lifted the license from the fourth, the Ontario House. On its last day, patrons lit torches and marched down Main Street intending to burn the Baptist minister’s home. They changed their minds when Dr. Shannon greeted them with a loaded shotgun.

This was so much fun!! This pillow has so many favourite fabrics, colours and designers. There're 38 different fabrics in the pillow including some AMH, Denyse Schmidt and quite a few Sarah Jane too. Totally inspired by Michelle @ I Like Orange's gorgeous drunkards path quilts, like this one here. I followed Blooming Poppies tutorial for concentric circle quilting.

Dear Partner here is your finished quilt. I hope you like it! It is hand quilted with perle cotton and bound in a dark grey dotty poplin. Will be in tomorrow's post for you.

I might call this 'The Avenue'!

Yay! I finished my Drunkard's Path quilt top for the quilt along hosted by Kate and me, and I love it. It was so much fun conquering curves with this great group of ladies :) Read more at:

First finish of 2016. I'm loving sewing curves! That striped text binding fabric is #firstofinfinity by #lecien. 👍 #quilt #ソーイング #patchwork #ちくちく #裁縫 #lecien_fabrics

Would love to do a drunkard's path block with colorful solids and a black & white dot.

Hope you like it, partner. The mister wants me to keep it - but I think it'll have a fun time in its new home.

Oh my gosh....what a beauty. This is stunning. I love everything about it, and the goodies that were sent with it.

Thank you sweet whimsical partner! Wendy of On a Whim/Little Whimsies rocks!

Completed drunkard's path quilt top! I used a 10" pre-cut layer cake for all of the C+S August fabrics, plus added in coordinating solids and one Nani Iro print! Inspiration came from @singallyouwant's gorgeous drunkard's path quilt!

a quick january finish; was really apprehensive cutting and sewing these large curves (first time). however, found a great course on Craftsy.com (Playing with Curves, with Ann Petersen), and followed her useful instructions. created the pattern on my own, but missed in the measurement and ended with a fold on each block. zig zagged stitched over it to hide them...somewhat! really happy with the results. binding it in pink/peach gives it just this extra punch I think.

Dear partner, here is what I managed to get done this afternoon while the kids were playing! I hope you like it, it measures about 16" x 16". I am planning to hand quilt it with perle cotton ...am I on the right track?

I went with the narrow red border. Hope you like it partner!

Finished partner - drunkards path in Japanese taupes.

The first 8 were so easy and so satisfying that I went stash diving to find some coordinating fabrics to make more.

Also, I just love that gal so freaking much, I wanted to do some extras for her.

These are the items being sent off to my partner. I hope she likes them. The cushion would be puffier if I had a big enough insert to put in it to show it off. I think it will need a 22" insert to fill it properly.

Finished the baby quilt for my old roommate. I was aiming for an abstract representation of the ocean. Blogged: greencheesequilting.blogspot.com/2014/10/seaside-baby-qui...

Started on the first snowflake. Not sure if I want to add more to this one or not.

My first playful attempt at a variation on a traditional drunkard's path block. This one is actually for me, and has super soft "minky" on the back.
