355 Pomeroy Ave. This is a three image stacked photo, where I used Photoshop and Lightroom to bring three images together, to create one, very sharp image, with lots of dynamic range. I haven't done much stacking, but have been reading about it lately, and was curious to try one myself.

Myndvinnsla: ég duplicate-aði myndina og gerði hana svart/hvíta og lét hana vera soft light, ég notaði inner shadow, síðan canvas size-aði myndina og gerði drop shadow.

playing with my camera's slow sync flash in a cornfield .. I like how this one almost looks like the corn is against a wall, but it's really the sky.
You know -- as in "I'm waiting for my knight in shining armor"? Turns out he stuck in Warwick Castle! I was using 1600 ISO inside because it was so dark. Here's a video on youtube showing Warwick Castle and the town of Warwick.
Warwick Castle, first built in wood in 1068, is one of the most famous and daunting castles in the World. Warwick Castle has a chequered history which moves from its construction as a Wooden Motte and Bailey castle by William the Conqueror to a massive stone fortress. Surviving siege warfare to the Age of Medieval Knights and Chivalry and the English Civil War. The name Warwick means 'dwellings by the weir' - a weir was a fence or wattle built across a stream to catch or retain fish. The Warwick wooden Motte and Bailey Castle was defended by the River Avon on the South side and by wide and deep ditches on all other sides. An important feature of Warwick Castle is its access to the River Avon. During the construction of Warwick Castle men, equipment and building materials were easily transported by boats to the site of the castle. Once Warwick Castle had been built built fresh supplies, provisions and reinforcements prevented the castle occupants from being starved into submission during siege warfare. William the Conqueror used enforced Anglo-Saxon labour for work on the construction of Warwick Castle. The wooden castle was replaced by a fortified stone castle in 1260. The two main round towers were built at the front of the castle and the Chapel and large hall were built against the south wall. Various additions were made to Warwick Castle as time passed - Guys Tower and Caesar's Tower were added at the end of the fourteenth Century.
I thought this would make for a nice picture at Renee's family's Beach House, out at Harbor View in Clinton, CT. The breeze was blowing off of the water and it was Memorial Day Weekend. As we had the American Flag hanging against the front of the house, I took the shot from the driveway looking towards the street.

2024 RebelLUG Telephone Build Game
The first prompt was given to me by @lego_monkey_ as follows:
"Sci-fi spaceship resembling a giant toothbrush!"
With a giant spaceship toothbrush, I thought it needed a pair of toothpaste canons to go with that can splooge out onto whatever necessary. I'm not sure if that will add to the story or just confuse later builders...
The build was then passed onto @vak_builds to describe for the next builder. The build following mine is by @hacimbricks
I recently added this to tehdik.com as an experiment. I think it's pretty cool. We'll see how long it stays.
1. Customize your Tumblr theme.
2. Find your post img CSS code.
3. Add the new stuff.
Original code from Robert Nyman. I added the "border-top" and "border-left" to improve the look on my white background.
Note: I used pastie.org/935861 to style the code.
A crisp hand held shot that I cropped up pretty close of some flowers growing in our front garden. ISO was at 400, so there was a little bit of noise to deal with. But I was able to clear most of it up in Lightroom, while keeping the detaills of the flowers.

Nevada State Railroad Museum. Carson City, Nevada (color corrected raw conversion).
Virginia and Truckee Railroad Engine No. 27 is a historic standard gauge steam locomotive. It is currently on display at the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City, Nevada. It was the last locomotive acquired new by the Virginia and Truckee Railroad, and pulled the last commercial train for the V&T on May 31, 1950, the date that freight and passenger services officially terminated for the company. The locomotive was placed on the National Register of Historic Places due to its association with the Virginia and Truckee Railroad and transportation development in Nevada.
Locomotive #27, also known as Baldwin Locomotive Works #39453, was built in 1913 by Baldwin. It weighs 121,000 pounds, 100,000 of this is weight on the driving wheels. Its 56-inch drivers provide 22,400 pounds of tractive effort.
A 4-6-0 “ten wheeler”, it was the last locomotive delivered new to the Virginia and Truckee Railroad (V&T), and the third ten-wheeler delivered, behind its twin #26 in 1907, and the so-called "Second #25" in 1905.

So Friday night the wife wanted to go shopping, me I took camera and sat at Sheerness Beach (Freezing cold) waiting and hoping that it would be another beautiful sunset. This is the result, not as good as Thursdays but nice.

The Grey Lady ghost was first reported to have been seen in Willard Library in the late 1930s by a custodian. Since that time, those looking—and not looking—for the apparition have reported unexplained events and sights.
Who’s Looking?
* The Grey Lady was last reportedly sighted on August 6, 1997, by the Library’s Special Collections Library Assistant.
* Psychics visiting the library in 2007 say they were able to verify that a ghost has been there, and paranormal investigative groups have brought in equipment designed to locate it.
* Several library employees have reported seeing the ghost, including Margaret Maier, Children’s Librarian, and Helen Kamm, Library Assistant.
* During a visit to the library, lecturers from the University of Southern Indiana say they saw the ghost peering into water.
* Policemen responding to a security alarm at the library spotted two ghosts in an upstairs window of the library.
* A library patron reported an encounter with the Grey Lady in the library elevator, and a local weathercaster also reported an encounter with the spirit.
* Hundreds of people look for the Grey Lady every October, during Ghost Tours sponsored by the library. Eight—hundred curious individuals attended the first such tour in the late 1990s, which have been a popular annual event ever since. Check the calendar of library events for upcoming tours.

I wanted to post something a bit different but still keeping with the nature shots. So what better to post than some simply Flowers. This will probably be the last of the nature shots unless I find something else in my archives tonite to post LOL!
As far as the processing of the photo, I did nothing special to it. No HDR, just some added color in photoshop. The drop shadow was also added in photoshop.
Anyhow, hope you all are have a great day. New urban shots to come…
