This image is composed of a shot of myself photographed in my garage, a wall in Venice, a bird from Stradbroke Island, a Graphic Stock shot of clouds, and a vine from a garden in Melbourne. It was made to illustrate how to create shadows with Photoshop which you can read about at www.exposingillusions.com.

Maybe I should plant a garden in the sky...!
Go, lovely rose!
Tell her that wastes her time and me
That now she knows,
When I resemble her to thee,
How sweet and fair she seems to be.
Tell her that's young,
And shuns to have her graces spied,
That hadst thou sprung
In deserts, where no men abide,
Thou must have uncommended died.
Small is the worth
Of beauty from the light retired;
Bid her come forth,
Suffer herself to be desired,
And not blush so to be admired.
Then die! that she
The common fate of all things rare
May read in thee;
How small a part of time they share
That are so wondrous sweet and fair!

Let’s talk Fantasy. This Artwork is inspired by one of my favorite collection of books – The Shannara Series by Terry Brooks. I also love (of course) LOTR and The Vampire Chronicles. I have never read Harry Potter and the Twilight Saga, although I always make it a point to watch the movie versions. Hahaha ☺
So how about you, what are your favorite books?
Roadside reflector.
Not being able to take myself too seriously for too long (as, sadly, everyone knows by now) herewith I present for your delight and delectation a selection of choice visual morsels all with the aspiration of soliciting your discerning discrimination in determining their relative rank of exotic excellence...
(Probably something I had for lunch :( ).
In other words which of the tesselations do you like most... imagine them on your lounge wall or something (OK that is going too far - you'd just have to move wouldn't you?).
For Sliders Sunday (though there are four in the set). I'll post the original so you can see how far we came...
Thanks for taking time to look. I hope you enjoy the explosion of colour into your life! HSS :)
[Handheld in daylight (not that it really matters lol).
In Affinity Photo rotated and used the perspective tool to straighten things.
Added a gradient mapping filter (which maps grey tones to a colour gradient of your own making - in this case all bright pretty colours :) ).
Then into Topaz Studio for various treatments in the four variants.
This was using Topaz Glow.
Finally frame, dropshadow and black outline to give it that gallery hung look... well kind of...)]
