Driving in Ireland was definitely an interesting experience. I never personally drove, but I was living pretty vicariously through Tess and Steve. It took them both a while to stop signaling with their windshield wipers... Oh, and when I say "No shoulder!", I mean it literally. On many of the "main" roads, it was bumpy, twisty, and had a hedge on one side and a stone fence on the other side. I doubt anyone driving needed caffeine to keep them awake while driving!
