You also can't miss the three monstrous towers of Marina Bay Sands which stand at the Marina Bay waterfront. From Mount Faber the Singapore cable car provides an aerial link to the popular island resort of Sentosa. Each cabin is suspended approx. sixty meters above the sea. The entire ride takes only twelve minutes. The cable car provides great views of the Sentosa island, Siloso beach and mainland Singapore. If there is a cruise ship standing on the day, you do get a great of that as well. The water around Sentosa is clean enough for swimming, but don’t expect it to be crystal clear. As Singapore is one of the world’s busiest ports, there are dozens of cargo ships and tankers on the horizon.
From mount Faber you can take the Cable car to the Sentosa Island. The lines of the cable car network, Mount Faber and Sentosa, pass through all the stunning and iconic sights of Singapore. You can get a bird’s eye view of the picturesque beaches and harbor as well as Singapore attractions and theme parks. Siloso Beach is surrounded by many of Sentosa’s top attractions, iFly Skydiving, Wings of Time audio-visual show, Madame Tussauds wax museum, and Sentosa 4D Adventureland are just some of the things you can do close by. It is amazing even with all the water there was no splashing around the turning circle and tables. The passing Gondolas appeared to be dry as well. It lasted maybe ten minutes. People gathered around enjoying themselves and taking pictures.

The Pont Charles-de-Gaulle (Charles-de-Gaulle Bridge) is a steel-reinforced concrete girder bridge straddling the river Seine in the eastern part of Paris. It is a one-way bridge carrying road traffic from the 13th arrondissement to the 12th arrondissement. Another one-way bridge further downstream, Pont d'Austerlitz, carries traffic in the opposite direction. A Europe-wide competition was held in 1987 to determine the best project design. At the conclusion of the competition, the concept set forth by Louis Arretche and Roman Karasinski was chosen for the bridge. The rationale for this choice was that it did not detract from the aesthetic exterior of the Viaduc d'Austerlitz, a structure further downstream, and that it discreetly preserved the existing view of the river.

last Friday we took Elsie out for the day and took a trip on the DLR. A driverless train, and Elsie being savvy saw us at the front as pretend drivers. Elsie took control of the camera and I steadied Elsie and we consulted as to what to take. This is a reflection of Elsie and the tunnel which we were photographing!

It's an excellent place to take a sunset walk or take a Singapore River Cruise at Esplanade Jetty boarding point . The magnificent Fullerton Hotel is next to the bridge. Good place to spend evening, lighting in the front is exceptionally beautiful.

Initially designed to transport mail, Mail Rail reveals the story of the postal service’s subterranean world beneath the streets of London.
The Post Office Railway, known since 1987 as Mail Rail, is a 2 ft (610 mm) narrow gauge, driverless underground railway in London that was built by the Post Office with assistance from the Underground Electric Railways Company of London, to transport mail between sorting offices. Inspired by the Chicago Tunnel Company, it opened in 1927 and operated for 76 years until it closed in 2003.
The line ran from Paddington Head District Sorting Office in the west to the Eastern Head District Sorting Office at Whitechapel in the east, a distance of 6.5 miles (10.5 km). It had eight stations, the largest of which was underneath Mount Pleasant.

From Mount Faber the Singapore cable car provides an aerial link to the popular island resort of Sentosa. Each cabin is suspended approx. sixty meters above the sea. The entire ride takes only twelve minutes. The cable car provides great views of the Sentosa island and mainland Singapore. If there is a cruise ship standing on the day, you do get a great of that as well.
From mount Faber you can take the Cable car to the Sentosa Island. The lines of the cable car network, Mount Faber and Sentosa, pass through all the stunning and iconic sights of Singapore. After dark, Siloso beach really comes alive, with parties, music, lively bars and restaurants. Siloso beach is a man-made beach. Chinatown is a small piece of China in the heart of Singapore. It had a humble beginning. People looking to make their fortune along the Singapore river banks. Life back then wasn't easy for the man on the street. Home often meant nothing more than a wooden board to serve as a bed. One would rent bed space in a shophouse, cramped with many others in the room. Fresh water had to be carted in by bullock-drawn carts. During the 1850s and 1880s, the street was one of the centres of slave traffic. From its humble beginnings, Chinatown lived through many trials and tribulations to become the jewel we know it today with red lanterns, traditional houses and shopping streets with knick-knacks and prehistoric temples on every corner of the street. Chinatown is an unmissable stop on your visit to Singapore. A place where tourists, locals and businessmen like to come for a good lunch and you can stroll around afterwards.

Het staat ook vol met natuurlijke attracties en culturele erfgoedsites, van botanische tuinen en natuurparken tot tempels en musea. Afgezien van een rijke verscheidenheid aan tropische flora en fauna, biedt een wandeling naar de top van Mount Faber ook een prachtig uitzicht over het Singapore. Vanaf de berg Faber kunt je de kabelbaan naar het eiland Sentosa nemen. Over het water krijg je een schitteren vergezicht over de haven, Siloso strand, evenals de beroemde attracties en attractieparken en naaste omgeving. Het is de verbinding tussen Sentosa island en Singapore. Het water rond Sentosa is schoon genoeg om te zwemmen, maar verwacht niet dat het kristalhelder is. Omdat Singapore één van 's werelds drukste havens is, zijn er tientallen vrachtschepen en tankschepen aan de horizon. Het Siloso-strand is een door mensen gemaakt strand. Public transport is easy when visiting Singapore. This includes the well-known Mass Rapid Transit system. MRT trains are fully automated without driver! Singapore is a green and clean city. It is also full of natural attractions and cultural heritage sites, from botanic gardens and nature parks to temples and museums. Chinatown is a small piece of China in the heart of Singapore. Once an enclave for Singapore’s Chinese immigrant population, the Chinatown of today is much-beloved for its blend of old and new, with historic temples and traditional medicinal halls sitting alongside hip new bars and lifestyle shops. You also can't miss Boat Quay sandwiched in between Clarke Quay in the north and Marina Bay. The famous quay has a rich history, deeply engraved into the foundations of the county; Boat Quay actually formed part of the busiest port in Singapore, managing the supply of imports and exports that enabled Singapore become a developed nation.
Singapore aims to be the world's greenest city. The push to go green extends to construction as well—green building has been mandatory since 2008. New developments must include plant life, in the form of green roofs, cascading vertical gardens, and verdant walls. When you walk on the street you notice how green the city is. Nieuwe ontwikkelingen moeten ook het plantenleven omvatten, in de vorm van groendaken, verticale tuinperken en groene wanden. Wanneer je op straat wandelt merkt je hoe groen de stad is.

Opened in January 22nd, the new line 3 of Santiago´s subway network is the latest novelty in Santiago´s public transportation. This new line with 22 kilometres of length and 18 new stations (6 with interexchange with other lines), covers the municipalities of La Reina, Ñuñoa, Santiago, Independencia, Conchalí and Quilicura. This new line runs entirely by tunnel and uses the same technologies used in line 6 (driverless trains, glass doors at platforms and others) improving on a truly way the quality of life of millions in Greater Santiago.

The Post Office Railway, also known as Mail Rail, is a 2 ft (610 mm) narrow gauge, driverless underground railway in London that was built by the Post Office with assistance from the Underground Electric Railways Company of London, to move mail between sorting offices. Inspired by the Chicago Tunnel Company, it operated from 1927 until 2003.
A museum within the former railway was opened in September 2017 - and I was one of the first to ride...

The Dubai Metro is a driverless, fully automated metro rail network in the United Arab Emirates city of Dubai. Guinness World Records has declared Dubai Metro as the world's longest fully automated metro network spanning at 75 kilometres.
I traveled on it and it was amazing experience.

It is also full of natural attractions and cultural heritage sites, from botanic gardens and nature parks to temples and museums. At 36 metres above ground, the Henderson Waves bridge is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. The best way to explore the bridge is as part of the Southern Ridges Walk, a five-kilometer hiking trail that takes you through three major parks. The Henderson Waves connects two parks with each other. Aside from being able to observe a rich variety of tropical flora and fauna, a walk on the Ridges and Mount Faber also affords you some stunning views of the island. We met mountaineers in the park who were practicing in huge trees.
The best way to explore the bridge is as part of the Southern Ridges Walk, a five-kilometer hiking trail that takes you through three major parks: Kent Ridge Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park and Mount Faber Park. Mount Faber is covered by a secondary rain forest. The vegetation on the slope helps to stabilize the terrain besides beautifying the park. From Mount Faber you have a beautiful view on the Bukit Merah. In the right top of above photo a mountaineer practice for tree-climbing. He is standing on top of the tree trunk and is well equipped with tree climbing saddles, ropes, spurs to carabiners. Please see photo in Large.

My photos of seemingly-driverless "Red Arrows" and "Connections4" branded buses have become more common of late, as the number of times I've been found on service work has increased, though this is the first time I've found myself working at Riverside Depot.
I had a long middle shift on the "Tyne Valley Ten" 10B service on the Saturday of the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, with 6083 (NK13 EJO) for my first half and 6074 (NK62 FDM) for my second. Opportunities for layover were few and far between, due to heavy traffic associated with the Newcastle United football match, and just one minute layover scheduled here during the day.
However, as the timetable changes in the late afternoon ahead of the evening service commencing, the layover period is extended, which allowed me just enough time to have enough time for a quick snap!
