Mirit Ben-Nun believes and feels that art is a vital and necessary function for human existence, it is what enriches the human race.

For Mirit it is her everyday language and her wish is that it reaches the one who observes her works of art and allows her to communicate her most positive aspects of creativity, worshiping the highest values of which humanity prides itself.

The artist is impregnated with the concept that there is no art without man, but perhaps neither is man without art. It is a kind of soul breathing.

Mirit Ben-Nun uses lines and points as an expressive resource and does so by exploiting nuances and associations to their fullest. Some forms follow the same direction and others change constantly, even urgently. Its language is visual and independent of its expressiveness; it lies in the value and organization of its elements.

The 'things' of the visual world are unimportant, the point is the achievement of reproduction of the world and human nature. Constantly encouraging creativity. In this case pointillism conveys emotions by the effect of using color, points, lines and thus capturing the attention of the observer.

Perseverance is an original sci-fi ship creation and designated as a Battlecruiser. The ship draws inspiration from many sci-fi designs including: the Daedalus (Stargate), Nostromo (Alien), Bengal-class (Wing Comdr/Star Citizen), Truman-class (The Expanse), Pegasus (Battlestar Galactica), Forward onto Dawn (Halo) and many others

Some key design notes:

- Hard sci-fi rules: No shields; ballistic based weapons only(rail guns, missiles/torpedos, and PDCs)

- No artificial gravity, no FTL drive: ship environment is zero G when not accelerating/decelerating; relies on massive accelerating/decelerating chemical rocket engines and maneuvering thrusters distributed around center of weight

- Realistic automation and AI tech level: minimally crewed (200-300 sailors and officers with 100 marines); not a troop carrier and does not carry air wing of “fighters” besides unmanned repair drones and surface shuttles

- Carries and supplies its own battle group of screening ships (2 large destroyers and 3 destroyer escorts); the screeners can all be docked (externally and internally) with the mothership while not in combat to conserve fuel and conceal strength

- Not designed for atmospheric flight: no unnecessary decorative wings or stabilizers

All connections and colors in this build are designed to be buildable with physical bricks. Ship is designed in 1:200 scale.

My end goal and hope is to convey a design that blends “the rule of cool” with a sense of realism and feasibility (i.e a ship that could be built in 5-10 generations). All suggestions and critiques are highly appreciated!

.

You can't be squeamish in space 💉 In these pictures, Shane and I are drawing blood for the Functional Immune experiment 💪 Researchers analyse these samples for any subtle changes in our immune systems and compare this with other health information we report. Knowing what happens to the immune system before symptoms appear, in space or on Earth, could help pinpoint the onset of illness for better monitoring or treatment

I didn’t realize how much competitors in the rodeo pay attention to their “draw”. Evidently, even the calves have a history of how they act. Fast, slow, break right or left. I’ll probably never get to photograph calf #46 again put I hope I do. Most calves break right. But because of the way this arena is set up, it’s better for me if they break left. It would be nice to be able to anticipate that but I have to faith I ever will be able to.

With a former C&NW AC4400CW in the lead, a Union Pacific coal train drops down the 2% grade out of Tunnel 15 and is about to enter Tunnel 14, near Crescent, Colorado, on March 30, 2002. The rear of the train is still in Tunnel 17, while the mid-train DPUs are on a fill approaching Tunnel 16. The large cut is the former Tunnel 17, now daylighted, and this horseshoe is in a location called South Draw where South Boulder Creek flows north toward Boulder Creek.

At Tracy Parks home, the Christmas Eve celebration has been a success. Now as the evening draws on, a few are left as they wait until midnight to have song and prayer as they rejoice in their Savior, Christ Jesus, coming to save.

Tracy: It turned out well. I guess we had about twenty here at the peak.

Bev: Yeah, it was so much fun. I'm exhausted.

Bibi: This was such a great idea, the big mailbox with all the presents coming out!

Tracy: That was Buckley!

Buckley: Me, YO! But nuttin happened without these two. Come on, bring it in, lemme hug you tight. You two... love you both.

Briar: Awww... I hate nights like this to end. Who's gonna talk and lead prayer at midnight?

Tracy: RC. He didn't want to but his dad always does so we told him he's got to follow that.

Buckley: Haha! That's some pressure. Also, he's in the kitchen behind us right now having yet another heart-to-heart with Shasta.

Briar: That can be our New Year resolution.

Tracy: Not again...

Briar: Boyfriends!

Buckley: HAHA! That was our resolution this year, which is now almost a year ago, and we still ain't hooked one.

Briar: This year though, f'real!

Tracy: Oh, it'll happen. At some point. I hope!

We'll plan to see what happens next year with these three! Now, midnight has arrived. RC, quite nervous, kept it simple.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

And that, said RC, is the greatest Christmas present EVER!

A year of the shows and performers of the Bijou Planks Theater.

We celebrate seven days of Christmas 2024! Jesus is Emmanuel, God with us. God come to save His people. Without Christmas, without the Incarnation of the virgin birth, the work of Christ would not have begun and we would have no hope.

Born in lowly, despised conditions, lived a life of poverty and struggle, brutally executed on a cross. This is not how we would have written the story of our Redeemer, but that's because we always fatally miss the reality of the vast difference between our sin and God's holiness. We think we're 'not that bad' and thus we fail to recognize the distance that must be bridged and thus the harsh magnificence of the required exchange.

Jesus was born to die that we may live. If you have not, seek God and beg His mercy today.

"But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’" Luke 18:13
