Burrard Inlet
The Second Narrows Rail Bridge is a vertical lift railway bridge that crosses the Burrard Inlet and connects Vancouver with the North Shore. As the name suggests, it is located at the second narrowing of the Burrard Inlet.

As 2022 draws to a close, I am looking forward to turning the page on this year, which has been a difficult one for me, and starting the new chapter that is 2023.
There are a few lines from a Josh Groban song called "Thankful", that I have always loved:
Even with our differences
There is a place we're all connected
Each of us can find each others' light
For me, Flickr has become a beautiful place to find that light and that connection, especially in a world that seems to grow increasingly dark and troubled. So I want to share a deep and sincere Thank You to all my Flickr friends and contacts for the light you give and all the ways in which you uplift my spirit. Thank you for sharing your talents and creativity which both awe and inspire me, for sharing your beautiful places, special moments, and great adventures, for your thoughtful and generous support of my photography and writing, and most of all for your personal kindness, caring, and humanity. The Burnham on Crouch Quay again!!! Sorry but the light was so nice took loads of shots. This one has deep blue tones and horizontal lines in the sky! Excuse any noise, hand held as no tripod. Must keep it in the car!

When you are at school, and the teacher says draw a mountain, the triangle is where most of us would begin. Most mountains don't really look like that, but Beinn Dorain seen here certainly matches that desciption.

I couldn't think of anything to draw.I should be ashamed of myself of course cause there's plenty to draw.Here are a few examples:-)
I have many lantana plants in my backyard, with many varieties. I like them because they draw butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, etc., and rabbits don't like the taste.

This is a long exposure shot of the draw off tower, which houses the controls to pump water out of the reservoir.

The Temple of the Virgin is among the easiest locations in Zion National Park for photography. The viewpoint is situated just behind the Zion Human History Museum, one of the first stops on the shuttle route. It's also a dependable spot, especially at sunrise. Whenever I don’t have a specific plan, I come here to capture the first sunlight illuminating the breathtaking cliffs of Zion Canyon. On our recent trip, however, things didn’t go as expected. Zion was under a severe cold spell during our visit, and it was one of those mornings when it's tough to get out of bed. While waiting, I noticed that due to cloud cover at the canyon’s western entrance, the anticipated morning light wouldn’t appear. After waiting a while, I decided to leave, but upon reaching the parking lot, I saw the peaks on the opposite side illuminated by incredible light. My challenge was now finding a foreground element before the light faded. Having learned from my experience at Saguaro NP how photogenic cacti can be, I immediately thought of using a few nearby as my composition. The only issue was that the area was under renovation, so I couldn’t get as close as I wanted. Despite that, it remains one of my favorite images from that morning.
Amtrak’s eastbound California Zephyr quietly crosses the large earthen fill leading down to Tunnel 16 at South Draw as the silvery passenger train catches some sunlight playing tag with clouds while dropping downgrade through the Tunnel District east of Crescent, Colorado, on the afternoon of April 24, 2019. No. 6 has nearly 30 track-miles to go before it reaches Denver Union Station out on the plains far below.
