It was the closing of the first season of building a community around drawing and illustration. It was also the first time some of the finest talents of this community joined together to create a group exhibition.

When we go to the beach near my mom's, we always stop in the requisite junky beach shops. The ones replete with ghastly goo, bubble shooters, personlized license plates, tacky magnets and of course, toy guns. My boys save their allowance right before we go every year to blow it on the newest toy guns. Please note, before I had three boys, I would have sworn on a stack of Bibles that I would never *gasp* let them play with toy guns.
