It's been for ever since I've seen an up draw bridge. This was certainly a real treat.

Peut-être Theatre: Draw Me A Bird

A dance theatre show for children and their grown-ups about a little bird in a big city. A little bird loves the songs of a Paris street musician so much that when all the other birds fly away for the winter she stays behind.

A heartwarming story inspired by the poetry of Jacques Prévert about making music, finding a friend, and learning how to fly.

With fresh new translations of Prévert’s poems by Rachel Barnett, original music fusing bird song with French folk music composed by Yaniv Fridel, and exciting, innovative movement directed by Daphna Attias this promises to be another imaginative and inspiring piece from Peut-être Theatre, last seen at The Junction with This is a That in 2010.

Side note, the bug is a mosquito eater... or as one student called it, a "giant killer mosquito". This little dude was in the classroom during the first day of this still-life project and was drawn from observation. The mosquito eater was eventually removed from the classroom, due to student distraction levels, and set free in the the schools common gallery space.

The finished product, already claimed by my daughters. These are fast and kind of fun and a really good idea for babies.
