Here I was excited about creating a club in which artist get together and drink coffee and draw. I thought I would take this club as far as i could and give it a logo and a concept for a website. Not so sure on the completeness of it yet, but like the start.

As US Forces begin to draw down in Iraq, one
important aspect of that process is returning bases
and equipment to the Iraqi government. Soldiers of
the 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment, 4th
Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division
out of Fort Riley, Kansas, have been working hard
at that mission since they ar...rived in Iraq in the
fall of 2009. So far they have turned several
smaller Forward Operating Bases back to their Iraqi
partners, and soon they will complete their base
closure mission as they return FOB Summerall later
this month. It has been a long and arduous task, but
one the Soldiers of 2-16 say is very rewarding to
see near completion.
FOB Summerall is scheduled to be returned to the
Iraqi government in mid-April.

EDM #29 - Draw something architectural...I wanted to impose the footprint of my house on a gridded background as you would see in a geographic map... and relate that to the water to the west and woods to the east....I wanted to combine the looseness of a sketch with the rigidity of a grid within the parameters of a sketchbook. I learned a lot from doing this, but it isn't quite what I saw in my head. I somehow lost the 'looseness'...'something architectural'....
The very first The Open Draw summer weekend with mini workshops, drawing activities and performance art on 21-22 June 2014 was a huge success. It was the closing of the first season of building a community around drawing and illustration. It was also the first time some of the finest talents of this community joined together to create a group exhibition.

Summer is here, which means summer sports, which means I can work on action shots.
Rugby ones up soon.
Yebo: another action shot from school. I think this one helps display me eye for creative composition.
