The great snow cover created this white wonderland. We humans felt so small and insignificant and so privileged to experience this scenery . Best viewed on black background via 500px ift.tt/1xmncWE

I used to love dinosaurs as a kid, way before they were ever cartoons. I had to scrounge around to get my dinosaur fix. I can still remember the day when scientists repealed the existance of the Brontosaurus.

This month, BNSF renumbered this unit to 1986, but it still works around the Twin Ports in its classy H1 paint. Haven't caught the 1986 yet, but the renumbering along with some unsuccessful railfanning from this sidewalk last weekend was a good excuse to post a before shot of the before 7877.
Here is one of my recently completed kimono remakes. The fabric for this skirt was originally gifted to me from a friend. Much of the kimono had already been used for her own sewing projects, but the kimono skirt (with all the lining and sewing still intact) was given to me. I took that skirt, and modified it so it can be worn as a western style draw string skirt. It features a bold pattern of plum and camelia blossoms on a black background. The shirt I have paired with the skirt is actually a vintage piece inherrited from my grandmother.
