As the sun rises above the horizon, illuminating everything with its rich, majestic hues, the birds awaken to begin their day's journey.

Great view from a lookout tower on Mogielica. Heavy dark gray clouds over snowy peaks of Tatra Mountains.
A panoramic photo stitched of two and croped to 2,7:1 aspect ratio.
The pre-dawn sky was lit up with brilliant ribbons of red against the dark clouds. The light was reflected in the braided channels of the Rio del Paine, Torres del Paine National Park, Patagonia.

Beneath a restless sky, iron giants rise like silent cathedrals, guarding the hush of the harbor. Steel and shadow converse with the tide, where industry becomes ritual and cranes bow like ancient priests to the sea

So much to see, far far beyond our imagination... Vulcan Osorno is spectacular. Sunrises, sunsets, snow, wind, ash, falls, stars... I could stay a month around there photographing every bit of it.
Muitas coisas para se ver, muito além da nossa imaginação... Vulcão Osorno é espetacular. Nascer do sol, por do sol, neve, vento, cinza vulcânica, cascatas, estrelas. Eu ficaria um mês lá fotografando tudo.

Shenandoah National Park extends along the Blue Ridge Mountains in the U.S. state of Virginia. The Skyline Drive runs its length, and a vast network of trails includes a section of the long-distance Appalachian Trail. Mostly forested, the park features wetlands, waterfalls and rocky peaks like Hawksbill and Old Rag mountains. Shenandoah is home to many bird species, plus deer, squirrels and the elusive black bear.
Suggest you view this Large On Black to appreciate the textures etc.
This was taken at my 3rd outing to Forresters Beach. Went there at dawn with the old man. Sky started off pretty clear and boring, but then a storm came over head and we were treated to some incredibly dramatic stormy sky.
The rock shelf at Forresters beach is gorgeous. Beautiful green rocks with lovely textures and very angular slabs. As the waves break over the rock you get some mini water falls occuring over the slabs.
Gorgeous location, probably my favorite rock shelf yet.
Aug 2020 started off in my little corner of Southeastern Ohio with some dramatic stormy skies, followed by an equally dramatic and beautiful sunset. As we roll into Fall I will miss the dramatic skies of Summer. The photos in this series are in no particular order.
The Waterloo Icehouse is my favorite place to get a chicken-fried chicken. Nothing to special about the sky when I went in. When I came out... there was this!
An early spring landscape near Ladenburg, Germany — quiet fields and trees beneath a restless sky.
Captured with an iPhone 15 Pro Max.
A dramatic sunset ignites the sky in brilliant shades of orange, red, and gold as dark clouds drift above a calm lake. The fiery colors reflect across the rippling water, while the silhouetted shoreline and distant hills add depth and quiet mystery. This striking landscape captures the raw beauty of twilight and the peaceful power of nature at day’s end.
Buda Castle
There has been a Castle on this site since 1265, but the present Palace was finished around 1758. The statue is of King Sigismund (who did much to enlarge the castle) on his horse. Apparently Vlad the impaler was imprisoned for some time in the original Castle! Also Harry Houdini was born near to the Castle (I think....there is a museum close!)
As usual I had 3 manic hours to take photos of Buda and Pest. Also as usual during harsh sunlight and peak tourist times. Managed to get round most of the sites I wanted at a pace, but had a bit of a disaster later in the day...... more on that later.
For anyone wondering if it is worth a visit just go. Like Prague it will blow you away.
