Having visited during the day I couldn't help myself from returning to the wonderful little ferry port of Lochranza for sunset. This is such a delightful place and it was a truly memorable evening, if not for the blinkin' midge draining my blood, it would have been perfect.

The Palace of Culture and Science (Polish: Pałac Kultury i Nauki, also abbreviated PKiN) is a notable high-rise building in Warsaw, Poland. It is seat of various companies, public institutions, such as cinemas, theaters, libraries, sports clubs, universities, scientific institutions and authorities of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Constructed in 1955, it was designed by Soviet architect Lev Rudnev in "Seven Sisters" style and was inspired by Polish historicism and American art deco high-rise buildings.
The Palace of Culture and Science is the tallest building in Poland, the eighth tallest building in the European Union and in a Top-20 in the Europe. It is 237 metres (778 ft) tall, including the structural 43-metre high spire.
The past few evening have given some amazing sunset skies here in Joburg. I've been taking quite a few shots - this is one of them.

These pots were stacked behind the Fish Shop on the shingles. Just prior to sunrise the clouds and colours in the sky made a dramatic backdrop.

An atmospheric backlit photograph of the sunset at the Noordkaap, where the warm-colored sky and impressive clouds reflect beautifully in the calm waters of the Wadden Sea.
A nondescript shed in a nondescript field came to my rescue when I had just about given up finding something to provide foreground to the dying moments of the sunset. Three bracketed photos exposure blended in photoshop.
Mono Lake, California.. One of the most beautiful Lakes ...
Join me:
Isle of Skye Scotland.
I shot this in the middle of winter on a bleak wet wintery day on the Isle of Skye.
I’m not sure why a set of railings inspired me to make this image.
I think ( to me ) it conjures thoughts of isolation and escapism.
After the warm sunset I was planning to return home. So I put down my camera. The twilight was forming such an incredible scene where every little moment was seemed to be lined up in a row. City lights were on. Moments were flowing. How can i stop myself from chasing this moment when nature gives us every instant incredible wonders!!
(explore #3)
Skylar and I had a great day Saturday hiking through Mitchell Canyon in the Mt. Diablo State Park (Northern California). We took a trail full of switchbacks up as high as we could until exhaustion and impending sunset forced us to turn around. I think we were probably very close to the summit but we didn't start out early enough in the day to make it.
Even though we didn't make it to the top, our timing was great because on the way down there was an increasingly glorious formation of clouds, and we were still high up enough to capture them. We stopped for a while to wait for more color to come into the sky and it was so peaceful and beautiful - we felt like we were the only people in the world!
This is a view of the nearby quarry. I used my new Canon 10-22mm lens with my Manfrotto monopod (love it!). I was also using a 25% neutral graduated filter.
This photo is comprised of six shots - three exposures for sky and three exposures for land. The sky and land shots were blended separately in Photomatrix then hand-stitched in Photoshop.
Our Daily Challenge: Can't live Without -- I gave today's challenge a lot of thought. What is it that you truly can't live without? Once upon a time, I thought that I knew the answer to this, but as it turns out, i really didn't. I've been given this incredible life. I thought that the storyline was settled, that all I had to do was continue upon the same path, and all would be well. Life has a way of changing things up a bit, and with the death of my husband, the life that I had chosen, the one that I couldn't live without, was gone. I had to re-invent my life, start over, and look to within myself to find that which I could not live without, and interestingly enough that which I cannot live without, is me. We all have stories, we all have personal tragedies and triumphs, but what we really need, is to find peace within. Yes, you can exist without finding peace with yourself, but you really can't live. With inner peace, not only can you live, but you can enjoy all that life gives you such as the moments of beauty just after sunrise this morning.
Thank you so much for your views, comments and favs. I really do appreciate every one!

It's every year like a miracle to see how the vegetation changes in autumn. All the colors change from lush greens and rich glowing reds and yellows to subtle brownish autumn colors. And if you are hiking in the mountains like me the morning I made this shot here you can even have the encounter of a small snowfall with temperatures near and below zero degrees. But despite the cold it is so wonderful to experience this spectacle of different colors. I was hiking along this small mountain stream with my dog till to the point when I decided to make a break because the time of sunrise was approaching and the area was really nice. And of course I wanted to freeze this moment at this area and I hope you like this vision here I experienced.
Thank you for your time and interest in my photos, your visit is most appreciated :-)

added my own textures - from photos I took of rocks - to a reflection of the peedie sea last saturday. Freezing but sunny
The impressive Shard building in London soars majestically into the gray, cloudy sky. The glass facade of the structure reflects the gloomy weather, enhancing the dramatic effect of the scene. The sharp, clean lines of the Shard contrast starkly with the soft, swirling clouds in the background.
In this photograph, I was struck by the dramatic contrast between the stormy skies and the serene autumn landscape. The sun’s rays piercing through the cloud cover add a dynamic and divine quality to the scene, highlighting the vibrant fall foliage along the lake's edge. The calm waters create a near-perfect reflection, disturbed only by the subtlest of ripples, which adds a gentle texture to the otherwise mirror-like surface. The composition balances the elements of sky, land, and water, capturing the fleeting beauty of an autumnal afternoon on the brink of a weather change.
