A breathtaking view of dramatic, sunlit storm clouds towering above the lush green hills of Carcare. The warm evening light catches the edges of the cloud formation, casting a golden glow over the tranquil landscape and the small church of San Giovanni del Monte in the distance.
A breathtaking sunset paints the horizon in molten gold and fiery crimson as the sun dips behind the distant mountains. Dramatic storm clouds loom overhead, their undersides glowing with reflected light, creating a stunning contrast between the calm, mirror-like lake and the turbulent sky. Golden reflections dance across the water, leading the eye to quiet docks and silhouetted boats in the foreground. One of those rare moments when the heavens put on a show that feels almost apocalyptic in its beauty.
It's been a while !
The weather hasn't been kind and time just gets away from me, anyway this one was captured yesterday evening while we walked along the coastal path. Looking over the Irish sea from Whitehaven to the Isle of Man on the horizon. I only had my phone with me, as I said the weather has not been good so I haven't taken my camera along every time . I hope everyone is well and enjoying some sunshine wherever you are in the world x
On the shores of Koh Rong Island, Cambodia, the atmosphere thickens under a dramatic sky. A large piece of driftwood rests on the sand, a blue boat floats quietly near the shore, and a small red building hides among the trees. The clouds above hint at a tropical storm—either just passed or about to arrive. The scene is still, yet charged with tension. The contrast between the peaceful beach and the heavy sky captures the rhythm of island life shaped by weather, forest, and sea.

The last shot I posted from here attracted a quite interesting comment of 'I would like to see it wider' , a curious one as it was shot at 16mm... so here you go... A wider shot than the last one, all 14mm of it from Warnscale Bothy showing a lot more of the srroundings, sky, and Haystacks ridge line, with less foreground, all thought welcomed I honestly don't don't which I prefer ?
As you can see the weather was providing a lot of drama in the scene here, showing exactly what the old bothy is used for, and what we had used it for until we got a break in the rain where it wasn't so heavy. The wet weather here really brings out the contrast in the landscape and the slate roof of the bothy especially.

burned the sky and did some colour adjustments in PS as the iphone wants to make skies like these a horrible super saturated blue. definitely time to invest in digital - never thought I'd say that
Yesterday afternoon, we had a storm pass through with heavy rain and hail in some areas. Later in the afternoon the Sun was trying hard to break through.
Finally some sun and an unusual scene of serenity at the seaside between Sweden and Danmark. This water is rarely ever this still as you can see in this scene around Easter. Taken in Västra Hamnen, Malmö.

Dupuis House at the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum in Ottawa
This house is the oldest at the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum, in Ottawa. It was built in 1820 and believe it or not was actually lived in until 1983. An older woman named Eva Dupuis lived in the house by herself on St. Joseph Boulevard in Cumberland until she died. The house was then transported to the museum.
She managed to live in this old house without any modern conveniences. The house was heated with coal and wood, her only washroom was an outhouse and she used a well in the backyard for her water. She did not even have a fridge, she simply kept her food in an icebox. She changed the house so little that it is almost exactly how it would have been when the first occupants lived there. Seceda (2519 m) is a panoramic peak and ridgeline above Val Gardena in the Dolomites, famed for the jagged Fermeda towers and vast views across the Puez–Odle Nature Park and surrounding ranges. It’s easily reached by a two-stage lift from Ortisei, making it a top spot for photography, hiking, and winter activities with trails, via ferrata options, and sweeping meadows beneath the iconic cliffs.

I climbed onto the rocks because I wanted the structure to have something to stand against — not just the sea, but the weight of the sky that was arriving from the west with the particular authority of Atlantic weather that has made up its mind. What I was after was the specific tension of that moment when everything is still in place but nothing feels stable: the white wood, the rusted posts, the steam rising through the rock fissures as if the sea were already breathing through the stone before the tide had even turned. The carrelets of the Charente coast exist in a state of permanent negotiation with the ocean — they are there by tolerance, not by right, and this one on the rocks at Concié wears that precariousness honestly, in the salt on its railings and the angle of its struts. I set the shutter long enough for the sea to forget it was moving, and waited for the clouds to tell me when.
A dramatic sunset captured in Ljubuški, looking west across the Herzegovinian landscape.
The sky burns in deep reds and soft oranges, fading into gentle pastels above the dark silhouettes of distant mountain ranges.
Visible on the horizon are parts of the Vrgorac Highlands, the distinctive peak of Klobuk, and sections of the Biokovo massif.
Layer upon layer, the mountains dissolve into the evening light, creating a timeless and powerful scene of the Dinaric landscape.

Dobro jutro s obale Jadranskog mora. Oblaci se igraju nad površinom mirnog mora, ostavljajući tragove svojih oblika u plavom zrcalu. Tišina, svježina i spokoj — trenutak u kojem dan diše prvi put.
