St Peter’s Church, Poulshot, near Devizes in Wiltshire, on the last evening of September, seen from the north-east in a long exposure that has pulled the cloud into streaks across the sky.

The church lies in the Vale of Seend, north of Salisbury Plain, and stands on its own among fields, well apart from the village it serves. Local tradition links that separation to fear of plague, and plague pits are said to lie in the churchyard, marked by a skull and crossbones set into the stonework on one side of the church.

The oldest parts, including the nave, date from the thirteenth century, and the building was considerably altered in the fifteenth. A fire in 1916 destroyed most of the nave roof, which was then rebuilt. The narrow west tower with its pyramidal roof was added in 1853 by the rector, Canon William Fisher, in memory of his wife, who had died the year before.

St Peter’s is a member of the Small Pilgrim Places Network, which describes it as a simple stone church, light and full of sunlight inside, with “an air of still and calm” that makes it a natural place for quiet prayer. A Celtic service is held there on a Wednesday evening once a month.

Thank you, for clouds!

Look, I apologize for that huge amount of P1 shots in my feed, really. I just can't help myself but love the car so much to a degree P1 is becoming another entry on my improvised "All-time car favorites" list. :))

Also, 2014. Oh boy, sure time flies fast.

The 24-metre-wide canopy creates an almost futuristic foreground.

The building was designed by the architectural firm Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, associated with architect I. M. Pei, and remains one of the distinctive contemporary landmarks of the La Défense skyline.

How eager I was to start this album!

Iceland in winter.

This was my first photography trip, and I did it with Fran Llano and Foto Earth Travel.

I had never made a trip like this before. Everything was new: I contacted with Fran Llano through Facebook, all the procedures were online. I did not know what I was going to find, or what kind of people I was going to share the journey with. I also didn't know the photography level of the rest of the group. Well, it tasted mine and it wasn't very good.

All in all, I embarked on this adventure and the result was a great journey, which I remember with great esteem. Apart from learning a lot in photography and getting to take photos of the Northern Lights (quite a challenge); I made very good friends that I still have and with whom I still meet from time to time to do photographic outings.

Of course, this was not going to be the last photography trip after the great experience.

I hope you like it just as I enjoyed it.

Got lucky on yesterday's daily walk! While all the surrounding fields have already been harvested, these giant cornstalks were still standing tall—easily reaching 4 meters high. Right between two rain showers, the light broke through, creating this great contrast of vibrant green against the dramatic, cloud-filled blue sky. Best of all, I managed to stay completely dry!

--------------------------------------

This 360-degree drone panorama was captured above the former route of Giljastølveien in Rogaland, near the point where the road crests the mountain and begins its descent toward Frafjord. The old road was eventually replaced by a tunnel due to the risk of rockfalls, yet the viewpoint remains one of the most spectacular in the region. From this elevated position, steep mountains plunge into the fjord while evening sunlight breaks through the clouds, painting the landscape with shifting bands of gold and shadow. The scene is a reminder that even when a road falls silent, the beauty that inspired its construction endures.

Fun fact: Before the Frafjord Tunnel was opened, Giljastølveien was the main route between Gilja and Frafjord. The old mountain road is still remembered for its dramatic hairpin bends, steep terrain and extraordinary views over the fjord landscape below.

Should be viewed with a web browser on a computer or tablet for best experience and panning.

Vallo di Diano sunset (view from Sala Consilina)

The sun lowers itself gently beyond the open fields, painting the sky with warm colors that fade without hurry. The land grows quiet, as if resting after a long day, and the trees stand calmly, touched by the last light. Everything feels slower, lighter, and in balance, with no urgency left in the air. It is a simple, peaceful moment where the day ends kindly and the night begins without resistance.

Alpe di Siusi, also known as Seiser Alm, is the largest high-altitude alpine meadow in Europe, set on a vast plateau between 1,680 and 2,350 meters with sweeping views of dramatic Dolomite peaks. Renowned for its breathtaking scenery and gentle terrain, it’s a year-round haven for hikers, skiers, and nature enthusiasts in the heart of South Tyrol.

Captured in October from the shores of Innfjorden in Rauma municipality, this image looks northward across the tranquil waters of Romsdalsfjorden. The faint silhouette of Klungnes emerges in the distance, partially veiled by low-hanging clouds. Autumn has brushed the mountainsides with warm hues, while the fjord mirrors the overcast sky and rugged peaks in perfect stillness. Shot at 1/160 sec, f/10, and 16mm, the composition balances depth, texture, and atmosphere—an ode to the quiet drama of Norway’s western fjords.

Handheld at 1/8 sec is on the edge of where you can go with the Canon 5D. At least it gave some nice movement in the water. F22 to try to slow things down for the water but all told leaves things not as sharp as they could be. They say this is the most photographed lighthouse in the world ! You can see why.

Some scenes do not require a description.

For fans of bollywood cinema, a lot of the scenes for the iconic Dilwale Dunhania Le Jayenege were filmed here, including SRK running on the airstrip.

The moon was full and visible in the sky about an hour after the sun had set and clouds were drifting by and partially covering it, which made for an interesting capture.

As I stood on my landing I waited for a break in the clouds and captured a handheld shot through the window.

The red tinge to the clouds was straight out of camera and created an awesome sight.

I learnt after the event this was the first full moon of the year, called the Wolf Moon.

January's full Moon is called the Wolf Moon, because it's thought wolves howled more at this time of year as there was less food in the middle of winter.
