Lion Dance are performed accompanied by loud beating drums, cymbals, gongs, with the music synchronise to the dance movements and actions.

The loud music, along with the firecrackers and lion movements are used to scare away “evil spirits” so that good luck will follow as with the beginning of the Lunar New Year.

Vibrant colors burst forth as a grand dragon winds through the bustling Chinatown crowd during Chinese New Year festivities. Draped in red and gold, its scales ripple above the joyous throng, embodying the event's lively atmosphere. Elaborate designs adorn the dragon's head, shimmering in the sunlight as it gazes over smiling awe filled faces.

Seeing all the Lion Dancers during the Chinese New Year is great, but when the Dragons come out, you're really in for a treat! They are so big that it takes a team of people to control them and make them wind and weave through the streets like some sort of immense serpent. It's really something special to see!

Phang Lhasbol festival is an unique festival of Sikkim. It was introduced by the 3rd king of Sikkim Chakdor Namgyal. Mt. Kanchendzongas deity is worshipped on this day for its unifying power. This festival is also in honor of the brotherhood that was signed between Lepchas n Bhutias- n the local deities that were also invited to witness the occasions. Mask dances n ceremonies are performed in different monasteries in Sikkim including Pemayangtse Monastery.

The guardian deity is portrayed by the masked Lama daces as a fiery red faced deity with with a crown of five skulls.

The monks also performed Pang-Toed dance n spectacular warrior dance.
