DoubleTree Hotel Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe! If you have ever stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel chain you’ll know that they are famous for their warm chocolate chip cookies upon your check in to the hotel! Now you can make them at home! Even if you go to the opposite of that, a warm chocolate chip cookie at the end of a long day of travel does the heart and soul good! How about some crazy cookie facts?? Over 65,000 cookies are made each day! That’s 25 million a year and 250 million cookies all in all! The cookies are baked fresh daily and every hotel. Every DoubleTree hotel has the same recipe so that they are all the exact same cookie no matter where in the world you are! How many chocolate chips? Over 1 million a year! And I thought that I baked a lot! That sounds like a lot of cookies but […]

Our Impressions during our 3rd stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Dublin-Burlington Road, Dublin, Ireland in January 2016. Highly recommended as we experienced memorable service standards, superb design, location, room and tasty food and beverage opportunities incl. a warm welcome as we received our DoubleTree by Hilton Cookie, which is the tasty signature of the DoubleTree by Hilton experience. Our 3rd stay.

The carriage hitch: A doubletree topped by two singletrees: one for each horse (also called swingletrees, for some reason!). The trace chains are attached at each end of the singletrees.

Tasting Britain were invited down to the launch of Doubletree by Hillton's latest popup - Nantucket Beach Club, down in lovely Tower Bridge - presumably because of our well/not well publicised propensity for saying yes to pretty much anything that involves a bar on the rooftop of a building.
As usual, I didn't really read the press release, preferring instead to be ambushed by the kind of serendipity and wonderment that you get from a cocktail bar on top of building ;D Heading along with my buddy Dom, we got the chance to get balls deep in a ballsy selection of their ballsy cocktails (which are on the whole pretty great, whilst also being pretty expensive).
Also available was food. Said food was seaside themed - think lobsters, mussels, scallops, crabs (with spiky carapaces that cause small scale hand injuries). Dom's Cornish so his standards for seafood are particularly high - however, we managed to find something for everyone (and by everyone I mean me). The best was probably some kind of fried squid thing that was moorish YET elusive. Unlike lobsters, which were quite easy to come by.
We stayed near til the end, making the most of the sunset (which was glorious) and the free blankets (which is why there are photos of me looking a bit like a guy in a cloak but who doesn't quite understand what material a cloak should be made of).
