A 2001 installed bronze sculpture "Numbers are the Language of Nature" on Domain Walk in Auckland Domain.
The sculpture is by Italian born artist Chiara Corbelletto, a graduate of Modigliani Art School, Novara, in 1973 and gained a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Milan, 1979.
In 1981 Corbelletto moved to New Zealand.
For this sculpture Corbelletto used the concept of tessellation, a pattern created by repeating a shape over a surface.
Corbelletto fashioned a three dimensional form made up of twenty identical bronze modules.

The Auckland Domain Grandstand was built in 1898 (replacing the preceding structure, which burned down), and looks out over the cricket ground, where the Auckland Cricket Team played until 1913.

Its an nice place to visit. Its next to the river and made for some good photos. There is a cafe there and this photo is from behind it where they had some water fountains. There is also an enormous playground with tunnels, swings, flying foxes, towers. Only problem was it was rather cold. Looking forward to going back in Summer!

Dans le jardin du Domaine, imaginé par Le Nôtre, les feux d'artifice contemporains - dont l'édition 2014 est la sixième - font revivre au XXIème siècle le "superbe théâtre de cristal jaillissant" qui se présentait au Duc d'Orléans.
Pendant près de deux heures, le ciel s'illumine de mille feux qui dévoilent de nombreux tableaux dans le ciel francilien. Sur des musiques soigneusement sélectionnées, mélange de classiques et de célèbres bandes originales de films, une trentaine de « tableaux » se succèdent.
