Early cave dogs fashioned balls from stones they found around them and attempted to domesticate humans for play. Then something went horribly wrong and for some inexplicable reason humans invented fire and wheels and the rest is history...

So many choices - so little time...
I've found that using Pano feature on 5s creates a fisheye effect when shot in close.
Every year that I post images of the dog sled races I get a lady from Brazil that posts "animal cruelty" on my feed. So far, I've resisted telling her that her bangs are an affront to humanity... but I have thought about it. Have you ever seen more joyful faces on anything than a working dog doing his work?

The weather all weekend had been very dull, this was taken when the sun broke through the murk for a moment. I have had a play around with the processing to try and liven it up a bit.

His Master's Voice (HMV) was the name of a major British record label created in 1901 by The Gramophone Co. Ltd. The phrase was coined in the late 1890s from the title of a painting by English artist Francis Barraud, which depicted a dog named Nipper listening to a wind-up disc gramophone and tilting his head. In the original, unmodified 1898 painting, the dog was listening to a cylinder phonograph.

Recent DNA studies show that dogs were first domesticated in Siberia ~23,000 years ago. The Greenland dog is an ancient breed of dogs that first appeared in Greenland over 4000 years ago, arriving with Paleo-Eskimo people from Russia. Genetic studies show that the Greenland dog has been kept isolated from other breeds for ~1000 years, since the arrival of the Thule people, ancestors of the modern Inuit, in Greenland from northern Canada. The closest living wolf ancestor of the Greenland dog is the grey wolf.

After the previous night's uneventful sunset, I was ready to grab a spectacular sunrise. And the two-hour time difference made it easier for me to extract myself from the bed's magnetic field on time. But as you can see, the sunrise turned out to be soft and gentle. As I stood here with my finger glued to the shutter release, I was surprised to see that this park is where the locals walk their dogs. Fortunate dogs! This is a slightly wider view of the previous shot.
This are my dogs, brownie and parches, this was our first time in the snow and it was a lot of fun! They enjoyed it more than I expected and didn't seem to mind the cold weather.
