Lily said no to being an Easter Lily ... Happy Easter!

Della has put her serious face on because the antlers have come out of storage. She usually helps Santa and his reindeer deliver gifts. She flies up front with Rudolph to help light the way with her bright blue eyes. I asked her if she was ready for retirement but she just gave me a hard cold stare, guess not.

24/52 for 52 weeks for dogs. I took this pic trying to fulfill this challenge I picked up:

"I'd like to challenge you to shoot in manual mode on your new camera acheiving a shallow dof. (bokeh) with a colorful background. I like to see a full body shot, too (or close).

Something along the lines of this one (previous pic) but add a colorful background like flowers or something more than just one solid color. Something with red it it would be pretty cool!"

I tried some other things inside first that I didn't like. Then I looked for a colorful setting backdrop outside, but it is early in the growing season still here in MN and there is lots of green and not much color. They move in loose formation, never quite a pack, never quite alone. They know every shortcut between porches, every gap in every fence. They sleep under trucks that haven’t started in months. They recognize the sound of kindness before the screen door opens. They know which porches are for waiting—and which are for goodbye. They don’t belong to anyone. But they remember who once did.
