Our first labrador. My adored Nevada.

Our dogs Stacy (left) and Suzie. We took this with out new ProPhoto D1 studio light and a softbox. The dogs are sitting on a table. I'm just outside the image with a dog treat, which they are staring at. Gary took the photo.

Took a trip to the local animal shelter and here's what I found.

"Won't someone please take me home?"

I'm sad because the baseball playoffs precluded K9 COPS and kept me from observing hound heroes in action Hounding Around: Walter the Hound's World

Using their color vision, Prairie dogs can detect predators from a far distance and then alert other prairie dogs to the danger with a special, high-pitched call. Prairie dogs use a sophisticated system of vocal communication to describe specific predators. Prairie dogs also trim the vegetation around their colonies to remove any cover for predators.

These two dogs were having a great time wrasslin' with each other at the Sharon, Massachusetts Dog Park. Neither hurt the other; just fun play.

On a roundabout near Canary Wharf, Isle of Dogs.

The Traffic Light tree was created by French sculptor Pierre Vivant and has been here since 1998. It confuses tourists and people who haven't seen it before, as it's on a roundabout, but it's just a piece of art. I found it quite sinister. I dunno why, maybe that's just me.

- the traffic lights are constantly changing from red to amber to green every second or so. I didn't know if it was real for the first 10 seconds when I got to it! I just stopped the car lol
