We have always taught the kids and grandkids to share. But this takes the cake.........or should I say cone.

sometimes our backyard is green - we had a great monsoon that year. Laika had joined the pack in spring - she was about one year old when the photo was taken and kept growing for nearly another year
My daughter, Shaune, and her dogs (let's see... the fat black one is Lucy, at least 300 years old, the golden is Otter, named after the aircraft, the one with the black & red coat on is Ashley, rescued as a pup after being abandoned and hit by a car, and the breakfast dog in her arms is Doc, another foundling.). Shaune was up from the big city, Anchorage, visiting for Christmas, Here she's dressed in the height of Alaska fashion in her fur coat and army surplus bunny boots (warm to fifty below and then some!), they're all getting ready to walk over to my son's house at about -30° on Christmas Eve.

Beaver loves to sit in the hay when we fill the haynets and play fight with us, he thinks its a great game but we are not so sure. as he sometimes even ends up in the haynets himself. No its not sharp and I am sure others things to but I just love that look on his face.
I spend a lot of time at horse shows talking to people about their dogs. You will see a whole parade of breeds there on any given day.
This Shetland Sheepdog pup reminds me a lot of my own sheltie as she looked almost 13 years ago.
The owner said this is an Irish Dog. I did not get the full name. If anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks.
Here are some pictures from 2008. They were taken at the Caledonian Thistle Whippet Racing Club which meets at Kincardine. You'll spot that these aren't whippets. I don't know if it's still the case but at that time anyone with any breed of dog could come and run their dog down the track for a small fee. A group of Beagle owners came and raced their dogs every week. It was just for a bit of fun and was very entertaining. They're definitely not as streamlined as whippets but they tried just as hard.
The greatest day of the year has begun!!! Guess who's boys were up early? :)
