These are hilarious little dogs; all with their own personalities. As you can see they all get short cuts beacause they live in the country side where they run and play and get into all sorts of trouble. Brady also gets a Mohawk because that's what they like;)
After I finish grooming them all, there is a race for kisses and cuddles with me on the floor of my shop. I love my job;)
A while ago someone explained to me that dogs don't have feelings. That they simply don't have that part in their brain that makes them feel love. What we see as excitement and happiness when we, get back from work, for example is actually his understanding that this may mean he will be fed soon or provide him heat or something that will benefit him. I'd be inclined to disagree with that scientist, plus I wouldn't want to hurt Ted's feelings.
My dad, (r) and I playing crib. It wasn't until later I realized that every time dad showed Max his cards, Max would twitch his tail. No wonder I lost five in a row.
For more silly animal stuff, this has to come under the heading of "What were they THINKING?" cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/WeirdNews/2005/02/25/942764-ap.html
this is lalo and zora
the wonder twins (brother - lalo peeking behind zora & sister team)
zora is the original bully dog i found wandering the mean streets of phoenix (IN the street silly dog) and after a couple days found her person and thought everything was dandy
a month later.....
i get a call from unknown person on my caller id - usually i ignore these calls and check the voice mail later - selfish me :) but for some reason i picked up and it was the mystery girl
she made her introduction and says she is moving somewhere where she cannot have the dogs and she couldn't find a home and since i said what a great girl zora was wouldn't i like to have her and her brother (what a deal! especially since i already have 3 dogs and spoiled ones at that)
but i'm a sucker
and i was afraid they would go to a shelter and it would end badly for them
so here they are
until i find a sutible mom or dad for them
sort of living happilly with max, bo, & lo (there have been some disagreements about who's mom i am and who REALLY lives here - i have heard the term "interloper" thrown around)
now i have a puppy gang
I bumped into a stranger carrying her two cute dogs. She seemed quite in a hurry, but she paused for a few seconds to pose and give me their names.
Thank you, Nana. Although is was so short, it was a nice encounter, nevertheless :-)
Merrill is 2 y/o and Basil is just six months old.
Happy St. Patricks Day from Hudson and Traveler
Look at Traveler ...can you believe the groomer cut all of his fur off when we told her NOT to cut his fur at all!!!!
Hello, I have two pictures to submit - The second pic is our Bassett hound - Basilee Bassett, enjoying our favorite "wild" place -
**Sherburne County Wild Life Refuge in Zimmerman, MN
We have 5 dogs that enjoy the refuge at least twice a week! Which is why I included both pictures.
The first picture is of all of us. Gunner is the black lab in the back, Storm is the Akita, Lady Bird is the Shepherd, Zachariah is the Short Hair and Basilee is the Bassett Hound!
We love the out doors very much and were enjoying a rather warm March day at the refuge!
Thank you,
Dina Dornseif
I spend a lot of time at horse shows talking to people about their dogs. You will see a whole parade of breeds there on any given day.
This Shetland Sheepdog pup reminds me a lot of my own sheltie as she looked almost 13 years ago.
