At 10 nearly 11 months old he has grown into a beautiful boy and a bit more growing yet to do and still lots more training.

Preface: This week just a simple drop and go. Please excuse that I haven't been that active the last week and won't be active in the week to come. I'm suffering from flu since last sunday, including fever and stuff. I'm feeling terrible, but didn't want to miss a shot of my 52 weeks project this year ;)
Now let's get to the shot. This is one of 5 shots (the best I could get considering my current condition) I took of Milla when she came back from a long hike with my wife and her friend Whisky (the dog not the drink), an Australian Shepherd. It was raining terribly so Milla thought it would be fun to go for a swim. As you can see... She is much stronger than me :D The water is ice cold, but Miss Labrador doesn't mind. Ok, they are bred for doing so, but still, it's very impressive!
Technical info: There was almost no light at all, so I had to use a flash shot through an umbrella. Fortunately, the set up is always ready to go.
my current nemesis who walks her dogs without a leash in the local parks and yells to everyone that her dogs - who charge up on you - are harmless. Of course my dog, Bailey, get all defensive and growly and she yells at me telling me that her dogs are nice and what the hell is wrong with your dog?
Of course there's a leash law in Asheville, but it doesn't apply to her because, well, she's an asshole.

Troy, sporting his covid-19 unfinished trim, is proud to announce he’s got cousins in da house. all of his 3 day old new family already have future forever homes. it’s nice for us to have something joyful to concentrate on during lockdown. Troy isn’t getting as much of his usual time from me but he’s more then happy to tire out his other housemates with playtime.

What a character but like all terriers virtually uncontrollable but loveable.
Wild Dogs were on the top of our wish list during our visit to Africa in 2015. We were in this same area of Linyanti, Botswana in 2013 and saw a pack of Wild Dogs. But it was not this pack. The dogs we saw in 2013 were killed by this pack after they went into their territory. If only they knew how endangered they were! Understandably, it was tremendously upsetting for those people who saw it and I'm glad I wasn't one of them.
One thing we noticed was how much lower the water level became in those 2 years as there was a severe shortage of rain in many parts of Africa. The Channel stopped flowing in 1980 and started again in 2008 and there was concern that the cycle could be repeated again that it will stop flowing.
This pack wanted to cross the channel to hunt on the other side. But they were smart not to attempt it because they knew there were crocodiles in the water. We followed them as they hunted. It was near sunset when they split up to increase their chances of being successful. By that time it was too dark for pictures but we saw an amazing demonstration of how they work together. 2 dogs caught an Impala but they were threatened by a Hyena. There was no attempt by these 2 dogs to have it all to themselves. They called for the rest of the group and they all came together. By this time all we could hear was the yelping of the Hyena. He finally thought it was in his best interest to leave the kill to the dogs and he came back later to finish off the bones.
Wild Dogs are the most successful hunters with a success rate of nearly 80%. They hunt as a team and, if there are pups, usually one adult stays back with them as there are other predators in the area. When the lead dog got tired, he would drop back and another would take the lead. Unlike lions, who let their cubs feed last, if there is anything left, they let their pups eat first. When the puppies got hungry and demanded food during the day, any adult would regurgitate to feed them. And they didn't stop begging until they got more food. It is very important that the pups grow up to be strong as that increases the size of the pack and, therefore, their success at hunting. There were no puppies in this pack.

Historical Note: In March of 1887, at seven years old, Anne Sullivan from the Perkins Institution and Massachusetts School for the Blind in Boston arrived to educate her. In May of 1888, Sullivan brought Keller to Perkins to further her education there. According to letters Keller wrote in 1887-1888, Keller and her sister enjoyed playing with Jumbo, who was described as “very strong and faithful.” Jumbo is also described as retrieving ducks on hunting trips with her father.
