Her favourite spot!

Gremlin loves this spiky ball and given that it seems indestructable it makes for a perfect match. He usually destroys toys within seconds!

Finally Lassie took the ball (do you remember her indecision?)

I know that we’ll have a ball

If we get down

And go out

And just loose it all

I feel stressed out

I wanna let it go

Lets go way out spaced out

And losing all control

She was ready to play!

I didn’t want the flash but it came out …but I liked her expression so I arranged the shot to look better….maybe the part in the center is still a bit overexposed bit …. But I wanted to share her asking eye, asking me: Hurry up! Less shots and more fetch! This ball is going to fall!!

It’s a strange slippery ball, sometimes she lose it!! Bite harder baby!!

Happy Sunday my Flickr FriendS!

Let’s Do it

And live it up

PS

Black is Better!!!

I met some lovely people and their dogs while out walking.

Kruger National Park, South Africa

All it takes is a little bit of snow to give everyone the 'zoomies'.

Two cute chihuahua mix at the local SPCA.

Ollie & Rufus sleeping in the sun.

This picture made me think of the line from the Christmas song "tidings of comfort and joy": that describes my two dogs so well - Mr. Comfort Nic and Miss Joy Splash. Those of you who get Christmas cards from me will probably see this photo again. Splash teamed up with her BC brother Nic for this week's shoot.

I went with the theme of 'favorite toy' for this weeks shot.

I'm conscious of not having Charche in these shots as its not about him this year but her favorite toy does involve him.

The tennis ball. Asha loves it when they are new and freshly out of the packet. The glory really comes from popping them and hearing that pfffff.....

The 2 of them then procceed to see how many pieces they can rip it into. As you can see we are in the final stages here.

Hooman?

Yes Flynn?

I am wet!

I know Flynn, I am too... even my shoes are squishy!

Hooman, why did you let the sky rain on me?

Wha?... Let it...? I... mean... I can't control the weather Flynnie!

You control when we go for a walk!

Umm, yes, fair point... but you see I looked at the forecast & it said it was going to be OK for an hour or 2.

Pfft. Well, this Forecast-thingy lied & it rained & now I am WET!! Very wet. And I am not happy.

I know Flynn, really I know!

And, hooman. The raindrops gave me a headache.

Oh dear.

You tell the rain to go away now.

I, erm... I am sorry... I'm sure the rain will stop soon...

It didn't stop raining! Or, it did stop - but only literally as we got to our front garden. Poor Flynnie, he may have been born & bred on a farm in rainy Scotland but he loathes wet weather. No, that's unfair - he doesn't mind drizzle & even fairly heavy rain isn't an acceptable excuse to miss walks but he passionately hates sudden, heavy downpours we get in spring & summer. He honestly almost seems scared by the sensation of very heavy rain falling on him & if we're caught out in a storm, he'll try to stop & hide undercover. He'll even hide behind my legs, if he think I can shelter him - which for a dog who's often worried by physical contact, is saying something.

I felt so bad about today's walk. The pups, Flynn especially, have been poorly the past few days - I think they've caught a virus, as they both seem to have sore throats (Flynn's bark has gone *really* weird, Barney's a bit hoarse!) & they've been tired & miserable. However, Flynn clearly wanted to stretch his legs, so I checked & re-checked the weather & chose what looked like the driest part of the afternoon... and of course, just as we turned for home, the heavens opened & we all got drenched. Hoping it doesn't set their recovery back - going to give it till Tues/Wed (a week from onset), then we'll have to start thinking about the dreaded V-E-T :( This shot was taken while we huddled under the porch of the old parish church & waited out the worst of the weather... Flynn was telling me about how terrible his life is & what a poor, sad dog he is. That face!!

okay, the title has nothing to do with the picture, but i couldn't stop singing, "they call me mellow yellow..." as i was editing it. lol!!

it has been a busy couple of weeks, a busy summer really, and the dogs and i were long over-due for a quiet evening at home... just relishing in that magical time when the sun starts to go down and the slightest breeze picks up and the day is finally bearable for a few minutes. i liked how the sun was hitting these trees across the road and making everything glow in fall colors. something caught june's eye and she stood here for quite a long time, just watching.

She wanted to have her breakfast and I wasn't fast enough for her so she got in my face and stared at me.
