The rodeo was a real learning curve for me. The thing that really stood out was the teamwork and trust between horse and rider. The horse at a 50 degree angle is what gets me. I've got others were they are even further over. Its pretty neat to watch. The pole bending is another spectator favourite. Both are women's events. Wishing everyone a happy and creative weekend!!
This one in Clarksburg / Thornbury at Cedar Run had it all; bull riding, team roping and breakaway roping, cow roping, steer wrestling, bareback, barrel racing and pole bending.
Gallery for the Dodge Ram Rodeo Gallery if interested. Will add a few more but don't want to make everyone sick and tired of my event photography.

On June 1st, 2014 at 4:16pm, the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department (LPFD) responded to multiple reports of a vegetation fire at 400 Wall St. near Granada High School in Livermore. Arriving units found a good-sized working vegetation fire in the grass behind the school and immediately went into offensive mode. Upon arrival, LPFD Battalion 9 assumed Wall IC and requested a second alarm, summoning several Type 1 engines to assist the Type 3 engines and Patrols with fire attack as well as to provide access to a water supply. Alameda County Fire responded two battalion chiefs (Battalion 2 and Battalion 3) and a Type 3 engine (Engine 308) to assist as well. Because the fire was also threatening a couple structures nearby, LPFD Truck 96 responded to the call also for structure protection, but cleared by the time I arrived on scene.
Besides Truck 96, the total balance of apparatus on scene included Alameda County Battalions 2 and 3, LPFD Battalion 9, Alameda County Type 3 Engine 308, LPFD Type 3 Engines 394 and 399, LPFD Chief 90, LPFD Patrol Engines 491, 495, 497, and LPFD Type 1 Engines 90, 95, 97, and 98, making for a total of 15 pieces of apparatus on scene!

These rams aren't as fancy looking as the newer "Emergency Response Units", but it's the Animal Welfare Officer on board that gets the job done, anyway.
Might just be another python that's took up residence in a laundry room, or a less exotic pack of feral cats terrorizing a local neighborhood.
Unfortunately it could also be another everyday, 'nuisance human' call:
Feeding a gator creates a dangerous problem for everyone, and often seals the poor reptiles fate.

The Boring Station Trailhead Park now has a new crown jewel.
The long-awaited Boring, Oregon Vietnam Memorial was recently erected in the south end of the park to commemorate the 41 men from Clackamas County who fought and died for their country in the Vietnam War.
"The Vietnam War was my generation's war," Steve Bates, Boring resident and chair of the Committee on Memorials and Remembrance, told The Post in an interview last year. Though he did not fight in Vietnam, he wants to commemorate those who did. "I experienced the American dream. I feel a debt since they gave up their American dream so I could have mine."
Now that the stone is up, the next step is to have dusk-to-dawn lighting installed, which Christensen Electric will complete this week.
"We are grateful for the support of the Friends of the Boring Station Trailhead Park and Clackamas County Parks," Bates noted. "We especially are thankful for the assistance provided by the Boring, Oregon Foundation. A project that has been three years in the making is finally coming to completion."
Members of the Committee on Memorials and Remembrance will present alongside members of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars and other elected officials and representatives from area military organizations.
Ron Reudi, resident Boring rock 'n roller and Vietnam veteran, will provide music for the event.
The memorial stones were provided and installed by OM Stone of Hillsboro.

This Police pick-up vehicle is so crude it is purely guesswork that it may be based on a Ford. Probably made by Jin Dei Le the quality isn't great. Part of a 6 piece set sold under the TranzMasters brand. Mint and boxed.
