In my old office, I would decorate for Halloween... but in my own style. A few purple and/or orange lights, a plush Jack O'Lantern, and some creepy-ass toys. McFarlane Toys' "Spawn" series were, and still are, some of my favorite toys as they invoke beauty and terror at the same time.
"Samurai Spawn" won a "Toy of The Year" award from Toyfare magazine due to it's articulation (26+ points) and level of detail. This is a special version from a 2-pack that also had many of the accessories you could purchase for this figure from the Spawn Collector's Club (the ornate and radiating battle banner and a flintlock that attached to the back of one of the bracers).
*PSA: This image was originally up on my Instagram account. But as some jerk hi-jacked my account and Instagram's help desk are a bunch of useless ass-hats and will not assist me in regaining control, I will be taking down all of my Instagram images I find (via DMCA complaints) posted on sites without my permission.

I was expecting a reply, but above is what he posted on his site instead. I did not notice his rude reply before requesting once again to have him remove the image from his site/blog today January 2011. Here is what I wrote today:

The Belleza Team has had a DMCA filed against us regarding the VENUS mesh body. We received the email just a short time ago and are sharing this information with the public ASAP so as to keep you all informed.
We intend to take full action against these FALSE claims. We have reason to suspect the culprits behind it are the same people who have been sending constant harassing and threatening messages on our lives for months now. In addition, they have been terrorizing customers in the store as well as griefing the sim with graphic card crashers. All of these recent events have taken place while Tricky is out of the country on vacation, but rest assured he fully intends to shorten his trip and return home to counter all claims.
Tricky’s work has been copyrighted since day one, and we are completely confident we will have VENUS back up in store as soon as these charges have been thrown out the window. In the meantime, if you haven’t yet purchased VENUS, I would suggest visiting the store ASAP and picking her up – she might be gone for a month or so.
Lawyers have already been contacted and we will pursue this to the full extent of the law, even after the false DMCA has been removed – BELLEZA WILL NOT TOLERATE THIS SORT OF BULLYING.

Today I received a very official looking email reporting to be from the “DMCA Compliance Team”. The message had been sent as a Flickr message from “gck6vwnkzi” flickr account. The message did not state which image was supposedly in violation of copyright but did contain a link to download a PDF. I did some investigation and found that this had a high probability of being a Phishing Scam.
If you receive this type of message “do not download” the PDF. I sent a message back to the sender stating that I do not open unsolicited links from strangers and to send me a flickr link to the image in question. I have not had a response.
Sure the image is a fun photoshop satire - but the situation couldn't be any more real, depressing and disturbing.
The majority of cheap items found on Amazon.com that feature artwork are unfortunately counterfeit products. Copyright infringement is a VERY SERIOUS problem as many artists including myself that once made a reasonable living creating the art accessories you enjoy are now finding their incomes cut in half because of unscrupulous companies like Amazon, Ebay, Ali Baba and others. As a former Amazon.com seller and full time artist I've experienced this problem first hand from the inside out. It is not a victimless crime. The online marketplaces are not innocent third parties and it does create "Starving Artists".
Why does Amazon let this happen?
$$$$ greed. We can assume the only logical reason Amazon allows and supports the illegal copyright infringement so strongly is that they can make more money selling a larger volume of cheap counterfeits vs a smaller volume of more expensive artisan original products. Amazon makes money on every counterfeit item sold. From membership fees paid by counterfeit sellers as well as a fee for every item sold and from fulfillment fees distributing these items from their warehouses. There's even plans to start charging artists, resellers of authentic products and name brands money to protect their brand. Sort of a "Pay or else" philosophy.

This is my picture. I took it during my outing in the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi. It was a bright day on July 16, 2022, I asked my friend who is a photographer named Hoa Anh Dao to take this picture for me with my Iphone 8 with portrait function. People can see the moderate brightness from the light of nature combined with the colors of the surrounding trees to highlight the subject - me in the middle of the frame. Curio's Gala Phoenix is currently in the midst of legal issues which have resulted in her content being removed from the grid, pending the outcome of her legal battle. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) process in Second Life requires that when there is legal action taken against your content, Linden Lab will remove it from the grid until a ruling is made. Gala's fellow content creators have come together to host a fundraiser to help with the enormous amount of legal fees she will have to bare in order to fight these baseless claims.
The fundraiser will be held from July 9-15, with a blogger preview on July 8th.
Some participants include Flowey, BareRose, Black Lace, Belleza, Ingenue, Laq, Luck Inc, One Bad Pixel, Gos, Truth, Bent, Fawn, Cupcake, evolve, Glam Affair, ely, Lassitude & Ennui, Zanzibar, Adorkable, Ikon, League and many more.
This fundraiser is not only to help Gala Phoenix, but to also take a stand for the community of content creators, for many of whom SL is their main source of income. This could happen to any one of us, and it's necessary that we stand up and fight back to ensure that it doesn't.

A month after the previous photo and it's on it's belly with the mainwheels standing on their own on the right.
This aircraft was ordered by Egypt Air but the order was cancelled before completion. The aircraft was completed in Nov-80 and stored at Long Beach until Jul-84 when it was sold to Chemco International Leasing as N3016Z and leased to Zambia Airways. They ceased operations in Dec-94 and the aircraft was returned to Chemco and stored. It was sold to Sky Leasing in Dec-95. It was originally allocated the registration G-DMON but this wasn't taken up and it was leased to Monarch as G-DMCA in Mar-96. It operated it's last service from Orlando-Sanford to Manchester on 26/27-Oct-01 and was retired and stored at MAN the following month. After more than two years in storage it was finally broken up at Manchester in Nov/Dec-03. The complete nose section is preserved at Manchester's Runway Viewing Park.
