AHF officially launched the first 24 hour condom distribution initiative in Rwanda in partnership with the country’s Ministry of Health / Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC) and the City of Kigali. The initiative, called the 24/7 Condom Distribution Kiosks Initiative (24/7 CK), involves the strategic placement of branded condom kiosks in four HIV high-risk areas around Kigali City (Gasabo-Remera, Kicukiro-Magerwa, Nyarugenge- Nyamirambo and Kocukiro-Giporoso), as informed by the national mapping exercises of hotspots. It seeks to address condom shortages, difficulties in accessibility and is part of AHF’s ongoing public health campaign to promote safer sex practices, prevent STIs, and reduce the spread of new HIV infections in Rwanda.

Pipeline transportation is a method of transporting liquid and gas materials over a long distance using pipelines as a means of transportation.
It is a transportation mode that transports petroleum, coal and chemical products from the place of production to the market. It is a special component of the mainline transportation in the unified transportation network. Sometimes a pneumatic tube can do a similar job. It transports solid tanks with compressed gas and holds cargo inside.
Transporting petroleum products by pipeline is more expensive than shipping by water, but still cheaper than rail transportation.
