The children of the Evans County Storytime were treated to a "RIF" (Reading Is Fundamental) distribution during storytime. With Spring soon approaching books all about the changes in the the garden were given out. Each child interacted with finger puppets in the process of how a catterpillar becomes a butterfly. From the migration of the Monarch butterfly, hatching eggs, forming a cocoon, becoming a catterpillar and transforming into a Monarch butterfly. The last treat for the day was decorating their own butterfly and taking their treat home. Everyone had a wonderful time
On Saturday, April 30 about 100 volunteers went to parts of St. Louis County to deliver food door to door to neighborhoods damaged by the April 22 tornadoes.
