On Wednesday, the City of Laredo, Webb County and RAM Nutrition Services teamed up to organize a food distribution event in South Laredo. City of Laredo District 2 Councilmember Vidal Rodriguez, District 3 Councilmember Mercurio Martinez, Webb County Commissioner Jesse Gonzalez, Webb County Justice of the Peace 2 Place 1 Roberto "Bobby" Quintana and Webb County Constable for Precinct 2 Miguel Villarreal helped distribute 1,000 gallons of milk, bread and produce to area residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A woman from the village had died about six months before. Other women from the village had been tending her gardens and now the harvest, along with the pigs caught by boys, is being distributed to her relatives and villagers. Note the different piles for raw and cooked tubers. The pig meat is in the middle pile.
This distribution was minor in scale and less important, since the actual death payment was paid by the time of the funeral.
