A pair of ES44ACs, #5780 and #5729 serve as DPUs on the rear of a southbound BNSF coal train (134 cars) on the Ft Scott Sub in Merriam, KS. This pair was in Notch 8 to the fullest and were thundering south pushing this train.

The clouds cooperated twice with this train (including the front, but at a different spot). This train just got off the Ft Scott Sub and is now on the KCT North-South Corridor heading to Murray Yard in Kansas City, MO. The DPUs for the coal empty (137 cars) are a pair of ES44ACHs, #3294 & #3289.

A trio of SD70ACes serving as DPUs on southbound BNSF coal train (144 cars) at BN Junction in Kansas City, MO. The units are #8584, #9363 and #9303. It certainly is nice to catch an all EMD BNSF coal, which includes a Grinstein SD70MAC second up front.
